(no subject)
well, i haven't done an entry in like, months, but w/e... this is for you julie.
so this vacation has been pretty uneventful; just little happenings here and there. i will just throw in the stuff that i can remember. this will probably be a little backwards, so it's totally not chronological. but i think saturday night i went and saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, a week and a half after finishing the book. It was an awesome movie! okay, forget me being obsessed for a minute with Harry Potter and hands down, 'Narnia'def deserves to win for best animation! i mean, come on, practically all the shots with animals in them are CGI and they did so well with makin' the beavers' expressions realistic and also all the talking animals were very realistic as well. anyways, since plans fell through 3 weeks in a row since new years to go and see it with manda, riss, my sis and tiff(?), then i decided it was hopeless and my mom asked if me and chichi wanted to just go see it so we went and saw it with my mom.
next saturday me virginia, chichi and amanda --if she can come and still wants to -- are going to frog pond just like the good 'ol days (except without jess *tear* or marissa who has to work as well). But we will be chillin' wiht Marissa afterwards. if all goes as planned, then i will have fulfilled my winter vacation goal (well, except the whole, going with everyone and eating at the hard rock or fire and ice afterwards) but newho. it makes me sad that jess isn't coming tho, cuz last year i didn't get to make it when everyone else went but me and jess went another time and we had so much fun even tho it was just us. (at least i think it was last year; i have no recollection of time anymore, i swear.) but newho, my goal was to, at the very least, get my butt to frog pond and get my skate on, baby. (if these plans fall thru i will cry for days)
So, what else has happened since i have been home?? well, i've worked for the majority of the time, and tho i have never had an absolutely horrible day that i thought would never end and that made me want to actually seriously consider quitting before now, right after christmas i had about a week full of days like that. lemme you kids a word of advice: NEVER GO INTO RETAIL! you will not make it out with your sanity!
anywho... so i went to a monastery for 3 1/2 days. it was good. i don't want to taint the experience so i will just say that it was very peacefull, i had a lot of fun and it was very insightful. everyone should go to a monastery and have a day of silence. awesome. o! and the cookies saved my life! o yea, and the monks there were the ill-chillest!
uhmm... let's see..... ok, so i also went to go see Harry Potter for the 3rd time on Christmas. It was pretty ill... again. aha. excuse me using the word 'ill'. haven't done that in mad long, but my bro is on the phone in here and well, his lingo occasionally bleeds into my own, and well, this is so not important, but you get my point, right??
what else?.....i've been spending too much $. yeah, that's about all. oh, and i really want to see that new movie, Tristan and Isolde. yikes! me and Julie both want to see it super-bad so we're planning on seeing it when we get back to school. should be a time.
ok, so i remembered something, o my, how could it have slipped my mind? so yeah, on the 28th i hadda work until 10 and when my mom picked me up she hadda go pick up my bro from P.Dan's house cuz he was havin' a senior's/ Graduates reunion night at his house (and of course, what a bummer, i had to work and couldn't go. poo.) so i decided i would go and "retrieve" Lolo when my mom got there (obviously a clever ploy to get in the house and see everyone, pwa-hahaha!!) so i go to the door, go in the hallway and ring the bell, twice. no answer. i figure, too much fun without me, and go back outside ... only to squeeze past the gigantic inflated snowman family that was occupying the front porch, jutt my head into view of the occupants in Pastor Dan's livingroom, and knock on the window asking, "so are you gonna let me in or what??". this act was promptly followed by expressions of surprise and squeals of excitement (wholly anticipated)from Amanda and Virginia which preceded the stampede to the door to let me in. Pastor Dan beat them to it. I was greeted warmly.
So anyways, breaking from the dreamlike monologue... it was really kewl that everyone was glad to see me, as i was them. I was especially happy to see steve and anthony and i absolutely could not believe my eyes when i walked into the dining room and none other than Josh Brown! OH-EM-GEE!! imagine the look of surprise on my face to see that kid just chillaxin', chattin' with marissa in P.Diddy's Dining room! it was great, i was totally bummed i had missed out that night on catching up with him! man, the good 'ol days when josh and i would chat during the wee hours away imitating what the other would see were one of us to fall asleep on the keyboard during an IM session. HAH! and of course, spending countless other hours being just total random nerds, which is of course, what i do best! pshya! So Stephanie even made me up a little dinner from the left overs they had --apple crisp, turkey, the best canned corn i've possibly ever eaten, and some carrots. Man, I Love Pastor Dan and Stephanie! They are truly awesome! (yes the apple crisp is what has moved me to declare this here and now.) i just missed Liz leavin' b4 i got there, but aside from that, that was the highlight of my night. --oh wait, getting followed by the cops is up there in the ranks too!
so rewind: manda was gonna have a sleepover with vivi and marissa, and perfectly enough, since me n vivi would be hanging out the next day, it was decided that i would sleepover as well. slam-bam-thank you ma'am, it was settled! so me n manda drove anthony home group hugged as we dropped him off. THen it was back to vivi's to wait for her and marissa to get back from pickin' up rissa's clothes n stuff from her house. so me n amanda got bored and hungry so after amanda munched on the carrots in steph's little "care package" and i muched on the greatest corn according to amanda, hah, we decided to trip it to sunoco. so as weare going down the street that connects to vivi's street and the main street, amanda is gettin annoyed by this light that keeps sweeping over the front of the car and the rear-view mirror and sayin she can't see, and what the heck is that annoying light?! and so i turn around finally after noticing what she is talkin about cuz the light doesn't seem to be stopping or getting away from us as we drive on, and i see a cop car with one of those side-mounted, blinding flood-light type things shifting onto my face and shining right in my eyes. so i report to amanda and then i'm like, "o crap! they're trying to see if i'm wearing my seatbelt! o shoot!" just like a retard! yeah, so i rush to belt myself as we approach the sunoco, hah. 'random cops. w/e.' we think. so we arrive and park at sunoco and low and behold, vivi's truck is on the road parallel to the gas station! yay! so amanda suggests we flag them down to see if they will see us, so i agree and i begin running to the side of the station lot waving like a mad-woman, fully aware that that stupid cop car is turning into the lot ahead of vivi's truck as it passes by. i figured she must've saw me but she decided to go straight back to her house and get her stuff. as i dismount from the short wall that bordered lot, the cop car pulls up alongside me and the cop inside goes asks me what my name is, and i give him my name. then he just goes, 'oh, alright' ande starts rolling up my window, but i request an explanation and he tells me that they are just looking for a girl, but that it's not me. So that was weird, considering the same thing happened to me when i was up at the college center studying one night. same thing twice in a two-month period. a lot of people must have my face or something.
so vivi came back about a minute later when me n amanda were in the store and was like, all afluster becuz she thot we were in trouble since i was waving my arms like a lunatic and there was a cop car, from her perspective, it looked like me flagging the cop car down cuz we were in some kind of danger. apparently it scared the bejeezus outta her. so anywho... to wrap this up, we went back to amanda panda's house, surprised tiffaniwith me (yes, i was her surprise. i tried to sound like i was a puppy dog but apparently just plain old me was good enough to throw her into a fit of squeals, heh. go figure!) so we watched ice princess, which was a pretty good flick. then me n manda decided we would sleep on her bed (with the forbidden line and all it's rules fully in place, of course!) But while the rest of the crew dozed off in the living room, we popped in raise your voice and that was a good movie too. I commend Hilary Duff on this one. she stepped it up, i think. And Oliver James, yeeah, he's definitely hot. yikes! so anywho, it was a time.
next day, it was pouring rain. but amanda had to work so she drove me n vivi to vivi's house and we chilled there 4 a lil bit before deciding we were hungry. so we went downstairs and visited jess n her mom 4 a lil bit B4 heading over to Taco Bell which I hadn't had to eat the whole 5 years i have lived in MA, up until that day. Not the first time i have ever eaten Taco Bell, just the first time since i moved to Medford. I got a Quesadilla and a Taco. it was good. So when we got back to vivi's watched the rest of "the perfect man" that tiff riss, and vivi started watchin that mornin' b4 we left amanda's house. and then we tried to watch 'how to lose a guy in 10 days' but it was scratched and skippin' like crazy. so we ditched that idea and decided to watch 'the notebook' which i had never seen (insert *GASP* here)! idk y i was so tired (ok, yes i do know why -me and amanda stayed up watchin' movies 'til 4 a.m.!) but i kept like, falling half-asleep during it so i appointed virginia as my watchful eye to make sure i wasn't fallin' asleep on any good parts. Needless to say the movie was BRILLIANT! i cried like the Niagra Falls. great film, tho. New on the faves list. Then i guess we went upstairs out of boredom and talked on the phone with amanda, while virginia took pictures and recorded me doing ridiculous things. o virginia, the things i do to amuse you! i guess it was around then that my mom called and said she'd b there in about a half hour. but newho, all was well, i had a good time.
honestly, i have no recollection of any other events that occurred over the rest of my break. so i hope this will suffice, julie. cuz it's all i can muster. hah.
