It is 8:40 and I have finished my one outstanding task. I wish I could sit back and take that as a sign that today is going to be mellow funtimes, but actually these are the days where people rush in with giant rush jobs with impossible deadlines and go, "Oh, hey, you're not doing anything!" All the derby stuff kicked ass! I got invited to try out for our team, lol. NEED TOUGH-ASS NAME FIRST.

i'm surprised there isn't a "What is your Derby Name" generating quiz out there somewhere :)

i went to see it while the Roc City Roller Derby girls were competing in Maine... their B Team was handing out flyers and T-shirts and answering questions about Derby.

part of me is starting to get really into it (esp after discovering 2 weeks ago that I can, in fact, still remain upright on roller skates). however, i don't bounce nearly as well and i can just see me blowing out my knee at the first bout.

i volunteered to be on their cheering section ;)
