First, I would like to warn you that I started writing this entry on the 18th, so... yeah. There's that. Second, it is deceptively long. Those lj cuts just cannot be trusted.

So, last night (Monday the 17th) I picked up Catching Fire- thinking that I'd read a chapter or so and drift off to sleep? Yeah, see, that didn't happen. What DID ( Read more... )

I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW that I kept getting the song stuck in my head every time I glanced at the title of this entry, and then just now I was playing the CD, and I got to that line right as I switched over to this tab. This is important.

I think LJ-cuts are generally horrendous liars.

FUCKING FINNICK!! As in, "I would like to be fucking Finnick, right now and always." I'm always such a giant sap for characters like that, and I love writing them, too. That Collins woman is evil. EVEN IN PERSON, SHE'S EVIL. In general, I really agree with you; Katniss has moments where I want to grab her by the shoulders and shake her and then slap her and then kick her while she's on the ground, but… idk, in general she's so determinedly badass that I let her get away with a lot of her Mary Sue behavior. XD

But well- me and Allie are kind of assholes. And this is why she bought me a stuffed tiger in the gift shop and I named it Duck.I FUCKING LOVE YOU GUYS. XDDDDD ( ... )

AHAHA. It's not that bad of a song to have stuck in your head at least.

FINNICK. FINNICK. EVERYTHING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT KATNISS, FINNICK MADE UP FOR EVERYTHING. Until she decapitated him and left Annie and his unborn son to fend for themselves. *sob* But yeah, her general badassery makes it easy to forgive the moments where I want to grab her and shove her into a lake.

BB, I knew we were the same person the second I saw your friends only post. Because seriously, EVERYTHING ON THAT PAGE.

Left is Abes, righty is Fitch. WAIT WHAT-

I'm sure she wouldn't shank you. She'd do that little thing where she pouts adorably, stomps her feet like a two year old, and probably drag me away.

I am so jealous that you got extra credit for reading that book, you have no idea. It was so hilarious. There were so many points where I was just giggling into my fist, pretending that I wasn't reading about Jesus learning about sex through his best friend having sex in the stall next to his.

MY SADFACE WAS VERY SAD, BUT THEN IT TURNED INTO RAGEFACE. ( ... )

I WAS SO MAD ABOUT THAT. It was painfully obvious that it got to the point where she was like, "Oh, hmm, I guess he's no longer integral to the narrative, *KILLS*", and I seriously… I mean, there are times when character deaths add something to the book, and there are times when they're just obnoxious, and that fell cleanly into the latter category. There are also times when it's obvious the author kills a character simply because said author knows the audience loves said character, and it may slide into that category, too. TL;DR I'm still pissed about it. XD

She'd do that little thing where she pouts adorably, stomps her feet like a two year old, and probably drag me away.
Maybe we should solve this with a threesome …I should really just go now. Um, forever.

IS THAT STILL OPEN EVEN THOUGH I SHOULD HAVE ANSWERED THE OTHER DAY?!
lol have you noticed that it takes me an average of about four days to respond to comments? Although you're seriously going to have to remind me every single day until I write it or else I will forget. ( ... )

Like, when I read that part it was like six in the morning, so it didn't really register at first. I was like, that's weird, why's she having flashbacks of Finnick, he went up first rig- OH MY GOD HE IS STILL DOWN THERE HE'S THE ONE SHE CAN'T HELP and just. I don't even know. Then the rest of the book was this big long thing that was pretty much psychological trauma after psychological trauma and then the bit about the last Hunger Games with the kids? WHAT THE HELL. I don't know. Mockingjay just made me really sad in general. Catching Fire is my favorite of the three.

Ohohoho! *shifty eyes*

I will remind you occasionally, only so I don't sound like a needy twelve year old.

I FORGOT ABOUT THAT FIC, OH MY GOD, I WANT TO GO BACK AND READ IT AGAIN NOW. Go for it. Ten works. I like Eleven and Nine and all the other ones, but I'm pretty sure Ten will always be my favorite just because. And you write him really, REALLY well. Crack is fine ( ... )

It was SUCH a sucker-punch. That part especially, but the whole book was oppressive in a way the others weren't. I was flailing about discussing this with powdered_opium right after it came out, and my English Major Hypothesis is that that has a lot to do with Peeta being so unstable when he was such a rock/moral compass character in the first two. And I think the first one was actually my favorite; I was starting to see the way she liked to draw things together by the second one, so it didn't have nearly as many surprises. Although. Finnick makes a strong case for it being the best one. XD

I definitely have all of the important stuff planned; I just haven't had a chance to write it. Which is good, because eltea made up the best. ending. ever when I was telling her about it night before last.

I AM A TWISTED HUMAN BEING. Ten is my Doctor, trufax. :D And omg thank you, srsly. ♥

eltea and I are now planning to have an Epic Movie night with Batman and James Bond, and I added that to the list, so after we watch it, I will totes read the fic, too. :DDDD

Best ending ever, yay, I cannot wait. ♥

EPIC MOVIE NIGHT, FTW. I'd say I hope it doesn't disappoint but I'm mostly sure it won't.

Also, Peeta made me very sad in that book. So, I can totally see that.
