-new toyyyyyyy
So, like I said in my last post, I was getting a new laptop today due to the apparently-deteriorating condition of my previous one. The new one is a Dell Inspiron, just like the old, but a more-recent version; the old one is B120 and runs Windows XP, this one is 1525 and runs Vista.
Before any of you Vista-haters out there start complaining because oh my god IT'S VISTA, bear in mind that this is the same operating system that my desktop computer runs, so I'm pretty familiar with how it works by now and know how to circumvent some of the OS's more-annoying "security" features (particularly that one that requires you to confirm every file access/change ever).
I'm still working on getting all of the basic stuff installed, like MIDI Orchestrator Plus (for what I'd hope are obvious reasons), AIM, Opera, mIRC, that kind of stuff. I should find my tablet and get that set up on here too. After that, I'm going to see about what games I want to have on here, and will at least be trying to get Mabinogi on here (who would have thought that an MMO with elements representing completely ordinary life outside of killing monsters would actually be interesting?). As for others, I'm not entirely sure yet.
