feeling a little bit dumb
Ok, so all the cool kids have these memes in their LJs, but I can't make them go. I put my info in the little box, and then I click the little button that says "Click," but it doesn't tell me who is going to shag me senseless or which character I am or anything fun. It gives me a little block of code that, when I paste it into my journal, displays the very rudiments of the generator...
Can anyone help me?
In other non-news, I just spent the early part of my evening at a slightly sickening awards dinner wherein our little bookstore got an award from this marketing organization for our Harry Potter thing last summer. It was both satisfying and disturbing. Satisfying because it's about time someone publicily acknowledged that we threw the (I am not exaggerating) largest Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix event in the WORLD. But disturbing to revisit all the politics that went with. Still. We now have a nice award-thingie (why are the awards always designed to make such good bludgeoning tools?) for our display case, and hey, I won $30 in Tasty Dog gift certificates, which will feed me for a week. So that's cool. And many nice things were said about the store and its fabulous staff (me included, thank you very much).
Also am suffering from pathetic Wednesday night TV conflicts. The O.C. (shame! shame!), Angel, AND this week new CSI on Wednesday for some reason. Why do they all pile up on the same night? There are five other nights on which I do not watch TV. Why don't they ask me about these things?
I am duller than dull.
Can anyone help me?
