That? Was totally a date.
Yeah. And nearly a 12-hour date at that. It was pretty darned nice. There was lots of easy, engaging, entertaining conversation over the course of our coffee and music- and book-browsing. Then we went to see Atonement, which opened here this weekend.
Sidebar: Movie was excellent. One of the most faithful and well-achieved adaptations of a novel I've ever seen. I couldn't ID anything they cut, and it would be nearly impossible to point out all of the things they captured perfectly from the source material. A total downer, of course, but such a beautiful one, you hardly cared. And that shot? At Dunkirk? The single steadycam shot that lasts something like seven minutes without a cut? Afreakingmazing. Oh, and p.s. I <3 James McAvoy.
Then a late dinner of Chinese take out. And some kissing. :-)
