December progress and a meme

Dec 10, 2006 18:46

I have finally managed to have a productive day in December (which used to be my favorite month what with vacation and birthday and Christmas, but which is generally just a source of stress and anxiety to me anymore).

Had a lovely pre-birthday brunch with Debbie, then watched an episode of Doctor Who at her house before heading out shopping. Got myself some cold-weather activewear for skiing. Of course, my sister reports there is currently no snow in the part of the Alps we're going to. Oh well.

Then I wandered up and down Madison, and then some time on Lake, and managed to get most of the rest of the gifts I was looking for. Still a couple more needed, but on the whole, things are under control now. I got canning jars for the confit d'ongions, but apparently I need either cider or beer for that, and hell if I'm leaving the house again. So I'll do that another night this week. Tonight I'll be a good girl and keep cleaning my house.

But first, I'll kill some time with memes, gacked from cunien.

List ten fictional characters with whom you'd have sex (in no particular order):

01. Sam Winchester (SPN)
02. Dean Winchester (SPN)
03. The Doctor (Nine and Ten because technically they're the same person, and so they only count once. Really. I swear.
04. Indiana Jones
05. Fox Mulder (X-Files)
06. Alex Krycek (X-Files)
07. Chief Galen Tyrol (BSG)
08. Wash (Firefly)
09. Spike (Buffy)
10. Dan Rydell (Sports Night)

I tried to the Soundtrack of My Life meme, but those things never work out for me (as evidenced by me doing half of it and getting annoyed how they never work out for me).

All right. I'm going to do the dishes and then wrap some presents and then... maybe put away some laundry? Who knows? The suspense is killing me!

Oh, I also did a very minor amount of writing last night, but the progress is depressingly slow. The weird one-off John thing I started Friday isn't hanging together as well as I'd hoped and doesn't know what it wants to be, and if it wants to be funny... well, it's just not. And the epic fic of my doom is ... my doom. Still stuck on the same scene, which is a really necessary scene. Bah.

ETA Once upon a time I had Post-It notes. Why is this no longer the case?

meme, blah blitty blah
