I am (almost) outta here!
Half an hour til Debbie comes to take me to the airport. What is it about the last day before a vacation? Why must ALL the shit hit the fan on that one day? On a brighter note, the author I'd been nastily referring to as Evil Author had dinner with my manager last night and emailed me today to tell me what a "beautiful" job I'd done managing the book. During one of the 18 shit vs. fan phone calls today, my manager said the author had gone on and on about how fabulous I am. See, keep warring co-authors from slaying/suing each other, and you come out smelling like roses.
Got my Drop into Holland prompt just in time to go and think a lot on an airplane. Thanks, abyssinia4077 for organizing! No ideas just yet, but I'm sure something will come. Yesterday, while I was mulling over BoB and wishing I'd get some fresh inspiration for some new icons because I miss making them, I saw a really beautiful batch of icons over at camp_toccoa. I love the way she cropped those. I always feel like I'm cropping to try to get a whole face in or something, rather than finding fresh new ways of capturing a moment. Anyway, I do believe I have been inspired. To the point where I kept having to turnon the light at 2 a.m. to write down ideas. This, the day before I leave Photoshop and source DVDs behind for two weeks. Ain't inspiration funny?
Okay. So, I'll probably check in tomorrow sometime, but after that I'm completely out of contact until sometime around the 15th. Anyone who has my cell number now is welcome to call me the next couple of weeks. I'll call back when I a) get some time to chat and b) am within range of a cell tower.
