Debbie's play is really good. It's not being fully staged, just a dramatic reading, but she said it was really well done. She wrote it almost three years ago, and we were planning to stage it for the OotP release, but she got a cease and desist order from Warner Brothers. I was going to play... Let's see... Aunt Marge, and I think Trelawney, and Madame Rosemarta. Her adaptation is much more focused on Lupin than the movie was, and really picks up the theme of disability and stigma that was almost totally lost in the movie, along with that wonderful bond that he and Harry share that I also feel didn't quite make it into the movie. The scene where Lupin leaves at the end is heartbreaking in Debbie's version.

You're going to have such fun reading to your brother! I'm going to see if the kids I'm sitting for Saturday night want me to read to them. I love reading to kids.

Sigh. I want to go home now. I think I'm going to pretend that my car isn't working and work from home tomorrow. I have a really big project that I could do much better away from my phone and email, and it would solve my parking problem. Hmmm. Tricksy...
