How is it that people usually gather supplies here for winter?  The weather is already beginning to change and become colder, so it seems like this would probably be a good time to start stocking up on things just in case something were to happen.

I doubt there's an abundance of canned goods or nonperishable items that are easy to find that are ready to go for the long term.  So finding other things and preserving them ourselves sounds like it could be the best option.  I'm going to assume that at least some animals that roam around the Safezone and even out in the Wastes are good to eat, so doing some hunting would probably be a good idea.  And I know how to preserve meat so that it will last a while, so if anyone wants to learn how to do that who doesn't know I'd be happy to teach them.

Though, this is the first winter that I remember being here for.  If anyone else has any tips for making it through the winter fairly comfortably, I'd like to hear them.
