So...I finally went to bed at nine/ten, whimpered as I couldn't really sleep.
My mom just called me a half hour ago, going "Are you sitting down?"
My heart stops, because the last few times she's done that, a dog has died. (literally)
To hear her say "I got a child support check in the mail today"
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! We don't know what the hell happened to make the asshole finally pay a check, nor do we know if this is going to be a regular thing, but..my mom got a child support check. Mind you, this asshole that fathered me stopped paying child support when she married my dad, when I was 8, on the basis that Dad could now pay for me (...um..no)
My mom did some quick calculations, and he owes her at least 60 grand!!!!!
Either two things happened, that we can guess. Either he wants his license back, or he finally got arrested (we've had a warrant out on him for the longest time) There is no way he would just randomly go "hmm...I should probably pay the woman I fucked over back for all of the money she spent on my three children whom I also fucked over". ....and if he even tries to make amends with us kids using money...HA!!!! He might as well pay for a dominatrix, because if he pays me to see him, I will use a dull rusty spork on his genitalia.
...I'm awake now!!! And totally floored!
