First thing is that I love the musical references throughout, the Eb/F# and twisting clefs, and then there's the nods to the island too. I like how Charlie slips back into his own show too. You have a wonderful knack for really painting stories!

I am so glad the musical bits worked for you - I tried to draw on my own background with instrumental music, but I wasn't totally sure if it came on too strong or not - glad you thought it was a positive addition! Thank you!

Definitely wasn't too strong, and musical references when talking about Charlie are just perfect! Do you play? I used to, but I haven't tinkled the ivories or picked up an instrument in years.

I also fall into the "used to" category - while I'll play scales and a few songs from memory if I'm near a piano, I was also a flautist for quite a while, and I dabbled with the guitar and French horn for a time. Most of the theory I remember comes from my days in piano and vocal lessons, though :) Yourself?

Piano, but I'm self-taught so not very good. I was in the local recorder group for years, or tenor anyway, which is why I probably moved to the clarinet when I could :) I want to learn guitar too, but I haven't managed to find the time to pick one up yet, and I'm not sure I can switch from reading staves to reading chords, but I do love a challenge :)

Oh, I remember playing recorder! *is nostalgic* I think that was why I ended up in woodwinds, too. And oh, chord-reading, how I loathe thee. I generally play guitar by ear or tabs as a result, and can't really do much of that anyway - perhaps someday I will sit down and learn it properly ;)
