First thing is that I love the musical references throughout, the Eb/F# and twisting clefs, and then there's the nods to the island too. I like how Charlie slips back into his own show too. You have a wonderful knack for really painting stories!

I am so glad the musical bits worked for you - I tried to draw on my own background with instrumental music, but I wasn't totally sure if it came on too strong or not - glad you thought it was a positive addition! Thank you!

Definitely wasn't too strong, and musical references when talking about Charlie are just perfect! Do you play? I used to, but I haven't tinkled the ivories or picked up an instrument in years.

I also fall into the "used to" category - while I'll play scales and a few songs from memory if I'm near a piano, I was also a flautist for quite a while, and I dabbled with the guitar and French horn for a time. Most of the theory I remember comes from my days in piano and vocal lessons, though :) Yourself?

Oh wow... that's superb. Your use of words is magical and I'm totally blown away. So many fine examples of gorgeousness that I 'd be quoting the whole things should I even try.

I really think I need to friend you. Would you mind?

Goodness... wow. Just... thank you. I'm absolutely thrilled that you so enjoyed this :D

And I'd be utterly flattered if you friended me - mind if I return the favor? (I browsed your profile, and see that you're not only from NZ - where I am hoping to spend some time doing research sometime soon - but also that you share my love for the absolutely stellar Karl Urban. In addition to your amazing writing skills, that's the cherry on top ;) )

Excellent! Friended! Of course you may return the favour! I'm so glad you want to, and you're right, what other great thing to bond over, other than Mr. Urban, do we need? And thank you - I am rather flattered by your comment about my writing skills too! I hope you make it over here as you say, and that we get to meet! Where are you from, as I couldn't see it in your user info?

I'm from the U.S. :) And while I do my best to travel as often as possible, I have yet to make it all the way across to your part of the world, even if I did plan to and it fell through about... four or five years ago (and I was so disappointed about that, too; I've wanted to visit New Zealand since before I can remember!) Hopefully within the next year or two I'll manage it!
