In which there is coffee and walking.

When Randall got home from work he wasn't all that tired. He sighed and fell down onto the couch, stretching out on his back. The apartment was quiet, and that made him want to talk to Anna. He picked up his cell phone, thinking for a moment that she might be asleep, but giving in and pulling up her number anyway.

Anna was asleep. She'd passed out a little while after finishing the movie with Maddie and just crashed in bed for a while. When her phone rang, she slowly woke up and reached to pull the phone to her ear, eyes still closed as she did. "Hello?"

He sighed at the sound of her voice and smiled. "Hey, gorgeous," he said softly. "I woke you up, didn't I?"

"Little bit, yeah," she sighed, rolling over onto her back with a smile. "But it's okay. How was work?"

"Went fine," he replied. "Kept thinking about a girl, though."

"Yeah?" she said, the smile widening slightly. "She hot?"

He groaned softly. "Incredibly. Just picturing her..." He trailed off in a grin.

"You must be a pretty lucky guy," she grinned. "Hot girl that lets you call her at two in the morning."

"I must be," he agreed. "And how is the incredibly sexy hot girl?"

"She's good. Little sleepy, but she's good."

"And when does the dorky looking guy get to see her?"

"Guy isn't as dorky looking as he thinks," she sighed. "And I'm working all weekend, but -- maybe Monday or Tuesday?"

"Mmm. That's a long time to go without kissing you," he replied.

"Well, you could always drop by the bar to see me?"

"I very much could." He nodded. "Or...I could take you on a.." he glanced at his watch. "Two AM moonlight walk."

"Right now?"

"I was thinking so, yea."

She sighed slightly before glancing around. "Will you bring me coffee?"

"Anything you want," he nodded.

"Just straight coffee is fine," she said with a nod. "Where do you want me to meet you?"

"Is it okay if I pick you up? It is two AM after all. I can...meet you on the sidewalk."

She considered that for a moment, before nodding. "Sure. We can do that."

"Tell me where to go and I'll call you when I get there," he said.

She rambled off the Winchesters' address, before starting to climb out of bed and get dressed. "I'll see you in a bit?"

"See you soon," he nodded. He hung up and grabbed his jacket, heading off to grab coffee and meet her.

When he arrived at the address given, he looked around and whistled a bit. It was a nice place. He pulled out his cell and texted her that he was outside.

Anna came down a few minutes later, pulling her coat tightly around herself. "Hey."

He broke into a grin when he saw her and stepped over handing out her coffee. "Hi," he replied.

She grinned back at him, before taking the coffee. "How was the ride over?"

"Quiet," he said. He stepped in and leaned over her for a kiss. She pushed herself up on her toes slightly so that she could meet him, holding the cup of coffee tightly in her hands so that she didn't spill it. His hand held her back to keep her steady as he kissed her lightly. He pulled back and extended his arm to her.

She took it with a smile, before taking a sip of her coffee as they started to walk. He held his own coffee and walked slowly with her. He wasn't sure what to say, but was comfortable walking in silence with her for the moment.

After a while, she turned back to him with a sigh. "I don't think that I can do three day stints at your place anymore."

He frowned slightly. "No? I thought you enjoyed it."

"I did enjoy it," she said with a nod. "But I also live with a nosy sixteen year-old. And she asks questions when I don't come home."

He slipped his arm around her waist to pull her closer. "Gotcha. Well...maybe every other night then?" He gave her another grin.

She laughed. "We'll see how nosy she gets."

His fingers brushed her hip, creeping between fabric to find her skin. "I might spend a lot more time missing you, then."

"Absence makes the heart go fonder," she teased with a smirk.

He smiled, watching his feet. "Aha, so you're trying to make my heart grow fonder?"

"Maybe," she said with a shrug. "At least I know you really wanna stick around."

"Right now...yea, I really do." He glanced over at her. He knew it was easy to scare a woman off - caring too soon. Getting hopeful too soon. He couldn't help it though. Anna was spinning around him and he just wanted to do his best to grasp on.

"Good to know," she grinned, feeling a bit happier about that than she'd expected to be.

He smiled and turned them around the corner. "Anything else you want to know?"

She thought for a minute before turning back to him. "Oh! Frankie! I got your text."

His grin went ear to ear. "She's going to give it a try. Keeping it from the guy, but...that's her choice. And she's going to be in the city with him next month."

"Good," she said, giving his hand a slight squeeze. "I'm really happy for you."

The excitement and joy rushed through him again and he leaned over, grabbing her up in the air. His arm wrapped around her bottom and he was able to hold her with one arm. "Me too," he laughed.

She giggled slightly as he lifted her up, before sliding her arms around his neck and leaning in close. "Good."

He tossed his coffee cup in a nearby trash can and wrapped both arms around her tightly. He tipped his head up and kissed her. She kissed him back, dropping her coffee as well and moving in closer His fingers brushed through his hair and he pulled back to look at her face.

She looked back over on him, before looking down. "Gonna put me down?"

"I was thinking of running while I've got you here," he grinned. But he let her down anyway, taking her hand again.

"Running where exactly?"

"Wherever I can hold onto you for awhile."

"Mmm," she said with a sigh, just leaning into him slightly.

He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. "I should probably send you back to bed," he said.

"You should probably head to bed too," she said with a nod.

"Probably," he said with a sigh.

"We could always -- meet up for lunch tomorrow?"

He smiled. "I could order a pizza." He slowly turned them around the corner to head back to her place.

"Sounds good," Anna nodded. "I do like pizza."

"What kind?" He pulled them to a stop in front of her stoop and pulled her around into his arms again.

"Pepperoni?"

"Pepperoni it is," he nodded. He leaned down for another kiss. She kissed him back, sliding her arms around his waist. He reluctantly pulled from the kiss after a bit and brushed his lips below her ear. "Goodnight, gorgeous," he whispered.

"Goodnight," she whispered, before starting to pull away and head back into the house. He stood there and waited for her to get inside and close the door, before turning and heading home with a long sigh.
