Oh! Oh! Oh! Four of my five grades are posted...all As! Class I took the final in on Wednesday is missing. Because essentially nothing was discussed during the entire second half of the semester, he simply gave us a short essay asking us to talk about which two battles changed the nature and the course of the American Civil War. Antietam and Gettysburg are the normal answers, although Vicksburg could be argued for as well. I wrote a good 2 or so pages about Antietam since I know much more about that battle and its aftermath and a bit more than a page for Gettysburg, which is about the same to slightly more than what my classmates wrote. The professor appeared to like the group presentation we did before the final. And back on the midterm, I had a 95 while the other 4 kids in class had grades between 70 and 75 (the short answer/fill in the blanks killed them). Based on all this, it may be a bit too early to say, but it looks like I may be getting straight As! Freshman year I had 4 As and a B+ each semester, and the semesters after that went down a bit with ever semester being a mix of As, A-s, and B+s (with a few Ps for pass mixed in for 2 pass/fail classes and my internship), so this would be my first (and only) straight A semester. Great way to go out with a bang!
