A Few Good Days

The past few days have been fairly good.

Hung out with pico_the_great Wednesday and Thursday. We talked of worldbuilding and other things, painted pottery, watched The Hobbit, ate Thai food, and cooked food at her brother's place. Also, I borrowed lots of books

If I was going to waste my money on Beowulf, I'd waste it on Seamus Heaney's translation ;)

You haven't read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight before?

Waste money!? Beowulf was one of the few things of any worth I read in High School. I for one am very excited to read another (better!) translation.

And no, I have not, but I am looking forward to it! I recently read an article in which a professor compared it to bondage fantasy, so now I am really curious.
