I'm 21!
So yesterday was my birthday. I had a really good time. Normally I like to have a big party, but that was out of the question this year (since we're kind of poor). But even though I didn't have a party, Jason tried so hard to make it extra special...I think it was one of my favorite birthdays ever!!! First he made me coffee, and brought it to me in bed. Then while we were in the car, he let me listen to my music the whole time! He didn't even ask to change it. He took me to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and it was so much fun! We went on some of the nature trails and look at the pretty flowers. We liked it better the first time we went because it was in the spring and there were so many colorful flowers and lots of babies (the geese had most of them!). This time most of the plants were just green, but we did see one baby...it was a baby turtle and its mom. It was tons of fun! Then we went to my parents house. We went ot OTB for dinner. Debby came with us too. It was so good!!! I love that place! But I was really disappointed that they didn't sing to me!!!! I got the free dessert, though. Then we came back to my parents house and ate cake (ice cream cake from DQ!!!!). That was fun, especially since I have been craving ice cream! Then I opened presents. I got a toaster oven, Disney Scene It?, two pair of earrings, and a trip to see Stacy. My grandma sent me some money, so I am going to buy a DVD...probably the Incredibles!
Anyway, enough about my birthday. I did something really stupid this week! Sometimes I surprise myself with the dumb things I do!!! For those of you who haven't seen my apartment, the kitchen area is SMALL, we only have enough counter space for the microwave! We have to use our island from ikea for everything else. So the other day I decided that I wanted to put our dish drain thing by the sink, but the only way to do that was to move the microwave. Not a problem! The stove tops are right there and I was done cooking, so I just put the microwave on the stove top. As I was washing dishes, the heard this "BOOM" and say a huge spark fly from the microwave. I got really scared and didn't know what to do! Then it happened again! So Jason told me to unplug the microwave, and then he moved it. It turns out that when I put the microwave on the stove, the corner turned it on!!! I cooked the microwave!!!!!! I think that Jason's dad is buying us a new one soon though.
