Tonight I covered Darryl's Hard Liquor & Porn Festival for the centre spread. They actually wanted us there, and actually went out of their way to make sure we got access to the right people--I even got a button that said "Porn Critic" for a press pass. I'm not sure if my shots are pornographic enough for what the editor wants, but if a nun in a vinyl habit and a whip aren't good enough for him, well, tough shit. Speaking of great shots, I set up a really great image of a guy from Mad TV and his co-creator on the project they were showing, and instantly the TV cameras jumped in on my parade (I'm looking at you, Naked News--and not because your host has a big rack).
This was also my first film fest--ever. I know I could go to these things regularly if I really wanted to, but how many people I know would actually get their balls out of their purse to see a film fest about porn?
