Hey, look, more XI ranting.

Anyway... I've been leveling war lately, and I was in the dunes... There's this rather infamous duo on Phoenix. I'd heard about both of them but was determined not to hate them automatically.
The guy I wasn't too fond of - I met him in Kazham. He was trying to charge someone 50Kgil for an escort to Norg, which seems just slightly (/sarcasm) ridiculous to me. Then, he was in my party. He went on and on and on about how some high level person was giving him all these high cost items for free. Leaping Boots, Emperor's Hairpin... All sorts of things. He had them, too. He was always running back into town to pick up more stuff and, I'm sorry, but when your party is fighting you do not make a delivery box run. Then he sent me a /tell. "Nice tail. [and] Are you a girl IRL?" Arg. I snapped at him, ranted at him through /tells for a good minute and a half... I'm so sick of people doing stupid things like that. I don't get it too much, myself, but I see it all the time. I mean, if you know the person, it's fine, but it really, really annoys me when people I don't know (and who have said one word to me all day: Hello) start up.
The whole party was fed up with him by the time he left. I'm not entirely sure why the leader didn't boot him.
Then, in the dunes the other day, I met the girl. My party was on the beach and our ranger had pulled a mob. Her party was forming (I think - not fighting anything yet, at least). Now, the ranger was a jerk (but that's another story, isn't it?) and a bit of a moron. See, our white mage was still in La Theine. Incredibly Tough Pugil + no white mage = death. But we were trying very hard and somehow our party ended up nearer to hers then we had been. She sends me a tell asking if we could move away from her party? (the wording wasn't exactly nice, but it wasn't mean, either). I reply, of course, and that I was sorry we'd ended up closer to her. Seemed innocent enough. Then someone dies. Then someone else dies. Then I die. Then I get another tell. "It's good now."
It really, really pissed me off. I mean, honestly!! A party was just demolished by a pugil, and I'd like to think I was civil in telling her we'd move (Oh, of course! Didn't mean to, sorry! ^^;)... She didn't have to say that. It really made me angry. The death deleveled me, too, which didn't help my anger at all. So, I guess I have to side with most of Phoenix on this one. Both of them are bad news.
Different note, the other night I was riding the boat to Mhaura and it was dark and pirates came!! Of course I was destroyed like a low-level weakling ('cause I am a low-level weakling compared to those things! ^^) but I got a raise in Mhaura and it was really cool, anyway, so who cares?
Tonight, for no reason whatsoever (I mean, there must have been one, but I have no idea what that would be) my icons all locked up. I could still open everything, but for some reason, I could not move any of the icons. No drag-and-drop and anything. It was annoying. It was solved by resetting.
I have vacation next week!! ^_^ The good thing about going to s school where almost half the students are studying to be teachers - because of the practicum, we follow the vacation plans of the public schools. I get a break in February and April. Yay. I'm going to play FF7 until I stop feeling like I have to lest my brain eat itself.
I have all these scenarios in my head I need to write but none of them have a starting place and it annoys me.
