Natural Doggy's Diary v01ch03
As promised, here is my first real translation script. I've translated other things before, but this is my very first real chapter script. I'm so proud at the moment that I need to share it right now -- though I'm probably going to regret not proofreading what I just did later lol. I used to work for a few groups as a proofreader/qcer and sfx translator, but I'm pretty lazy with sound effects these days so I kind of just write what they mean instead of think up some English-looking gibberish to write down. I decided to start with chapter 3 first since Nakama already scanlated the first two chapters. I'm still planning on doing my own scripts for the first two chapters though, because I want to say that I actually translated an entire book rather than just a few chapters from volume one.
I also plan on translating the Petit fanbook so look forward to that!
I put the file in PDF format, because the way my scripts work is first line in Japanese, and the line below it is the English translation. I figure if anyone ever wants to do a scanlation with my translations, it'll be easier for the editor to match the right text together this way... at least, that's how I see it.
This is probably one of the harder Japanese ones to type, because they switch among hiragana, katakana, and kanji for all the words I normally would see read a different way. I really had to pay attention to when a word was written in kana (and which one) or kanji. Other than that, it was pretty fun.
