I am currently addicted to this song. Though I've heard it before and I've always loved it, I'm just re-addicting myself to it.
Nella Fantasia was first released by Sarah Brightman in her album "Eden" -- which my mother bought back in 1998 and got me hooked onto her music ^_^; -- and the original music for this piece was from the 1986 movie, "The Mission" with music by Ennio Morricone. I know, I bounce up too when I hear the name "Ennio Morricone," you're guaranteed to hear ingenuity at its finest with his music and I absolutely love his music. Anyway, the music this piece is based off of is "
Gabriel's Oboe" from the movie, but this song is so pretty.
Italian:
Nella fantasia io vedo un mondo giusto,
Lì tutti vivono in pace e in onestà.
Io sogno d'anime che sono sempre libere,
Come le nuvole che volano,
Pien' d'umanità in fondo dell'anima.
Pien' d'umanità in fondo dell'anima.
Translation:
In my imagination I see a just world,
Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
In my imagination I see a bright world,
Even the night is less dark there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly.
In my imagination there exists a warm wind,
That breathes on the cities, like a friend.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
I can't stop playing it on repeat lol.
