My Parents Never Cease to Surprise Me
So... I broke the news that I may be looking for internships up in Portland this summer rather than only in Eugene 'cause Jones and Roth had this really bored-looking guy, whom made me almost hate the company because 1) it's on West 11th and anyone who knows me and the city of Eugene plus me driving understand how I dearly abhor the combination of the three 2) the guy was totally trying to cover up his impatience and boredom with me, hoping for the love of god that I would leave him alone. You know I work in a restaurant, I learn to read people pretty well, I know from their tone and voice and even breathing when they just want people to leave the hell of them alone =.= Anyway.... when I told my parents, instead of the expected, "Oh you can live with your i.e. dear Aunt Sally" it was a "Oh GOOD! We'll go buy a house!" ......... Is this the normal response you would usually get from your parents?! O.O; I mean... I was expecting this "Oh apartments don't lease for just 3 months, but you can stay with so-&-so and do this, blah blah blah. Oh your grandmother is going to live here, so you can live in the same place with her, blah blah blah. These are the things you'll need to take care of in order to live up there, etc." No, that was not what I got, I got a "Now we have a reason to buy another house/condo,etc." I just dropped my jaw and boggled my eyes at them from that ...... really out-of-this world response. Nini was saying that she wasn't sure where she would live, well if we're getting a house/condo up in Portland, she can come and room with me if she wants. It's only for the three months anyway... but yeah -.-; So... before I go crazy from over-thinking, sleep may be a good idea.
