She could barely believe it when Rial's servant had dropped them off in front of the low-lying, bulbous, pale beige coloured hotel building on the bay. When she and James had entered their assigned suite, it had been like entering a dream. This flat was more luxurious than anything either could ever afford. All in all, this vacation was fantastic. It was a rare occasion when James forgot who he was supposed to be, forgot all the danger and death that permeated his life and enjoyed life for what it was. This had been the case ever since they begun their trip. James refused to complain about it. He was so pleased with the trip that he hadn't stopped smiling. He was smiling widely as he returned to their room, relaxed and pleased with his personal excursion into the city.

What you're suggesting could tear a hole in our universe.

She doesn't want to be responsible for that any more than she wants to be responsible for losing their child by going home. Sarah Jane shakes her head, blinking back tears. Eiattu is beautiful. James keeps smiling. She wants to go back to being happy. She loves it here. She loves their honeymoon.

But there are tears now. There are finally tears. So Sarah doesn't respond, sobbign into her hands instead.

"Sarah...?" The smile vanishes. He quickens his pace towards Sarah, not stopping until he's next to her, turning her towards him in a protective hug.

Sarah Jane needs this hug. She needs the reminder of why she made this sacrifice (even if she hadn't realised it at the time) to begin with. Being in his arms is that reminder. The Doctor was right about this too. Every time he holds her, she knows her home is with James in her heart.

But the need to cry still persists as she hugs him back tightly. There's so much she wants - Can't I get a proper goodbye? - so much she can't have.

Finally, after what seems like forever, she whispers, "I can't go back home anymore, James."
