It's a little late in coming, but I'll get to that soon enough.
Friday: Had a wonderful time at
emp42ress and
dreams_of_wings Endless themed Halloween party. I went as The Prodigal brother, Destruction. Sure, it's a bit of typecasting but it worked really well. I was vastly impressed by the other costumes there. We had each of the Endless, save Despair. In addition to the Endless there were quite a few other characters from The Sandman including Cain (with his brother's head), Chantelle, Titania and Oberon of Faerie, and Matthew the Raven. I had no problem with introversion, perhaps because I beat the crowd there and had a chance to get comfortable. Also the mulled wine was delicious. I need to get a recipe to make some of my own. There were some excellent photos taken by
sunspiral that I will see if I can cross-post.
Saturday: Arrived home about 2:30 or so from the Endless party and slept late! I've been quite short on sleep lately so I was happy to have some time to sleep in. And when I woke up...it was bloody snowing! I can't put into words how utterly delighted I was even if it kept me from making it to Atlas. I even took a nice walk barefoot around my house. Later in the evening I hoofed it to
n0ire's party. It was intensely crowded and very stuffy, though good company it took me a while to adjust, blah to wanting to crawl inside myself in the middle of big crowds. It did get better though, and Local Midnight's set was amazing. I need to find out if they have their music available for download or on CD.
Sunday: I attempted to vegetate, filled out dull grad school apps, and spent a little lazy time with
ayeshak. By the time she left I was feeling a bit under the weather. Little did I know of the ick that was to come.
Sparing you all the details I was up until about 4:30 am being ill. This persisted through Monday and slowly abated Tuesday. I'm still not sure if it was just a stomach bug or something that I ate on Sunday. So no Diesel this week but I'm feeling much better today. I hope I don't have to do anything like that again anytime soon.
