Four, five, six and seven.
All in one day.
I AM BORED. ENTERTAIN ME, SOMEONE.
Eh... The computer I write these on has no Internet...
Then how do I get the stories up here?
Flash drives rock.
I'll try to wait to write eight, but this story rocks so much! It keeps even me guessing!
None-the-less, here is seven.
All written on the same day.
Seven--
"You have failed me, Fenrir," came a growling voice.
The white wolf whined and crouched down. "Forgive me, Father... I tried, but the mage..."
The purple hedgechidna scooped up a skull and examined it. "You have told me numerous times of this mage. And, yes, I have forgiven you, for I have healed you."
The white wolf glanced about the dark throne room. It was decorated with the skulls of many a poor traveler. Loki's castle, better known as Exile or Hell's Peak, was one of the most notorious places on X'faer. Fenrir was the enforcer of this reputation, and would torture any trespassers until they begged to be killed. Then, she would feast upon their flesh, not bothering to kill them before she began.
The midnight blue jackal that was curled up beside Loki's throne scoffed. "Any mage that is better than I is a mage that must be destroyed."
The jackal's pose was seductive. She leaned on Loki's throne, one hand supporting her weight, the other allowing a rather large Flicky to perch. The Flicky was snow white with glossy black wings and long, black tail feathers. The jackal, herself, was impressive. Her long, two front bangs hung down to her chest. The other four were curled up in a most peculiar fashion. She wore a leather jumpsuit with a skirt that was slit on one side and held up by a golden belt. Her eyes were red with no whites, though she did have pupils.
"Hush, Eris," came Loki's firm growl.
Loki's hybridism was his trademark. His purple spikes were curved up wickedly. His slate gray optics matched Fenrir's. He had a spiked belt on, with a pair of red pants and black shoes. His gloves had spiked bands upon them.
Eris huffed impatiently. Fenrir rolled her eyes. The wolf did not like Eris, but kept her alive. Eris was an ally, and therefore she was not to be killed.
"This world we have discovered," the hedgechidna continued, "contains seven jewels of immense power. There is a legend that when all seven are together, one can bend the forces of nature."
"Let me guess," Eris chided. "Should we collect these jewels, we could take over X'faer and this new world."
"Exactly," the hedgechidna confirmed.
Eris grinned. "Then I can become the most powerful magess ever!"
Loki rolled his eyes. Eris was so odd. None-the less, he would have his goal soon...
Shadow yelped with pain and squirmed as Aleena wrapped the bandage around his mid-shin.
"I told you it would hurt to change the cast!" she barked assertively. "Now stop moving!"
"Stop man-handling my leg!" he retorted, the same amount of assertion in his voice.
"I'm being as gentle as I can! If you'd stop moving, I wouldn't squeeze so hard!"
"If you'd relax a bit, I'd stop moving!"
Sonic sighed. They'd been like that for the past week now. Sure, Shadow had healed unusually fast, but the necessary process must be taken. As of right now, Aleena was removing the hard cast to replace it with a soft one. It wasn't an easy job; she had put her hair in a net to make sure that it didn't get in her face. Shadow's squirming and yelling didn't help anything.
"GYAH!" Shadow screeched as Aleena pulled the bandage tight and began to go the other way. He attempted to kick, but Aleena's grip on his ankle was unshakable.
"Stop moving!"
"Stop pulling so hard!"
"That's it!" Sonic barked. "I'm leaving! You guys are on my last nerves!"
And with that, the blue hedgehog left the room. Shadow sulked as Aleena continued weaving the bandage. He occasionally moved, only to be yelled at by Aleena. Eventually, he quit moving. It was a losing battle, and the pain only worsened when his reflexes went off. Aleena's grip softened and the bandages didn't hurt so much after that.
"There," she finally said. "I'm done."
Shadow glanced at his leg. The soft cast was on, so that meant that his bone was almost fixed. "Finally," he grumbled.
"I think," Aleena sighed, "it's called 'Thank You.'"
Shadow stared at her. "What?"
Aleena groaned. "Nevermind..."
Shadow sighed, his eyes still on Aleena. She seemed... Familiar...
We will meet again, as promised.
Aleena glanced up. "Shadow?" she murmured.
"Hmm?"
She hesitated for a moment before finally saying, "You keep forgetting your manners. Try to thank someone when they're done doing something for you."
"Thank you, then." He yawned and leaned back on the bed, going to sleep.
The two lovers held each other close. One was shorter, female. Her long, purple hair was buffeted by the breeze. The other one was dark, mysterious. His eyes were red, but not cold.
"I wish you didn't have to leave," the femme murmured between sobs. "I don't know what I'll do without you..."
The male kissed her cheek. "Don't worry," he said, soothingly. "I'll be back for you. Just remember... I'm always with you."
The female sighed and choked out more sobs before giving him a passionate kiss good bye.
Shadow woke the next morning. What a weird dream, he thought as he grabbed his crutches. His arm had already been healed, thanks to numerous herbs. Now it just ached slightly, but he could still use it.
He hobbled out the door and into the tiny kitchen where Rouge was cooking.
"Mornin'," Rouge said with a sigh.
"Mornin'," Shadow replied. He snagged a chair and sat down.
"How many eggs ya want?"
"Three, over easy."
Rouge cooked quietly for a while before giving him three over-easy eggs. Shadow prepared to eat the eggs before he remembered what Aleena had told him.
"Thank you," he said. Then he put salt on the eggs and began to eat.
Rouge was mildly surprised by Shadow's response. "Welcome." She sat down and began to eat her own ham-and-cheese omelet. They finished their breakfast in silence.
I need another pass-time.
Eh. Whatever. When I'm done with this, I'll write the sequel.
Anyways... I'm gonna try not to write the next chapter today...
I'll do it tomorrow.
How about never, little Luce? How does never sound?
...It sounds good to me.
