I've written three chapters today. I must be really bored.
Yes, we're getting more violent with our language and gore and shtuff.
My sister is reading over my shoulder. She will be scared for life X3.
I'm being stalked by Big Foot. OMG!
So random. Here's six.
Six--Heartbreak and Healing
Amy Rose sighed and and glanced in the window of yet another store. Cream the Rabbit and Jet the Hawk were close by.
"Can we go now?!" Jet barked impatiently.
"I'm trying to find the perfect gift for Sonic," Amy sighed. "It won't happen in ten minutes, you know."
Cream skipped over to one of the shop windows. "Hey, Amy?" she inquired. "What about this one?"
Amy went over to the window and glanced at the gift Cream was pointing at. Inside, there was a small sculpture of a woman with large wings that surrounded a sleeping man. Amy's jaw dropped in dismay.
"CREAM!" she hissed. "I want to impress him, not give him thoughts!"
Cream glanced at the angel. "Err... Not that one.." She pointed at a die cast medallion in the shape of a European dragon on it. The medallion was on a leather cord. "It'd be so... Cool..."
Amy grinned. "That's better," she said. She hurriedly dashed inside and bought the medallion in a heartbeat.
"Great," Jet growled, "now we can go."
Amy nodded, holding the shiny pink gift bag tightly.
They reached Club Rouge in a matter of minutes. Jet returned his hover board to the strap across his back and accompanied the girls to the attendant.
"Friends of Sonic," Amy said with a grin. "Tell him it's Amy, and I brought the Monopoly."
The doorman nodded and allowed them into Club Rouge. He then called someone to take them upstairs. With every step, Amy grew more and more excited. Today was the day that Sonic would finally ask her out. The medallion would make sure of that.
"Go fish," Shadow muttered dully.
Sonic picked up a card with a sigh. Play passed to Aleena.
"Got any threes?" Aleena asked Shadow. The hedgehog growled in distaste and handed a pair of threes to the Queen. Aleena turned to Sonic.
Please don't ask for threes, he pleaded.
"Got any threes?" she asked. Sonic sighed and handed her his three of spades. Aleena lay down her four pair. The game was over. She won. Again.
"Jeez," Shadow mumbled. "It's like you're psychic."
Aleena laughed. "You never know. I might be."
Sonic smirked. His mother had impressive magical abilities. Maybe one of them was seeing the future, or reading minds.
Just then, the door flew open and foreign arms flew around his neck.
"SONIC!" came a familiar whining.
"Don't scream in my ear," Sonic sighed. To his surprise, Amy's arms withdrew and a pink gift bag was plopped on his lap.
"I got you a gift," Amy chimed, "and brought the Monopoly!"
"Thank you," Sonic groaned.
"Aleena's been beating us in every card game we play," Shadow groaned.
Amy stopped abruptly. "Aleena?!"
Aleena laughed and smiled. "Sonic, you didn't tell me about any Amy."
Amy glared at Aleena. "Who is she?" Amy growled to Sonic.
"She's my mother," Sonic sighed.
Amy's angered attitude changed when she heard this. "Mother?!" she said with a grin. She went over and took Aleena's hand. "I am Amy Rose, Sonic's fiancée!"
Sonic broke out in a coughing fit. Shadow and Jet began laughing. Cream groaned. Aleena said nothing.
"Really?" she said, naively. "Sonic, you didn't tell me you were to be married."
"I'm not!" Sonic coughed. "Amy's just a friend!"
Amy frowned. "JUST a friend?!"
"Yes," Sonic retorted. "I have a girlfriend."
Amy froze. "You-you-you WHAT?!"
Sonic sighed. "Amy.. You're a great friend, but you're too young.."
Tears came to the pink hedgehog's eyes as she threw the Monopoly down on the bed.
"Amy..." Cream said as the hedgehog stormed past her.
"Don't talk to me," Amy snapped. She pushed Jet aside and stormed out of the door.
After Amy had left, Shadow sighed. "Beautiful," he grumbled.
Sonic shook his head. "I didn't mean to hurt her.."
"I'll go talk to her," Jet sighed. He left the room.
Tears streamed down Amy's cheeks as she strode down the streets of Night Babylon. This isn't fair, she sobbed to herself. Everything I've done--boxercising, getting caught, running day after day. Everything... For nothing...
She turned down an alleyway and went behind a trash can. She sunk to a sitting position, placed her head on her knees, and began to sob.
"Aww," came a gruff, male voice. "Why is the little girlie crying?"
Amy looked up. There was a rather large dog in front of her. He was a street dweller, and obviously not safe to be around. "Don't touch me, "she warned.
"I'm just trying to make it better," the dog said, unzipping his pants.
Amy's face bent in fear as the dog came closer. His hand was by her shoulder when...
"If you lay a finger on her," came a familiar voice, "I'll skin you alive."
The dog turned to Jet, zipping his pants back up. "I'm not afraid of you."
Several other delinquents came from around the alley. They were thin, scraggly, mangy creatures that knew no law.
Jet was unfazed by the reinforcements. He swiped out his hover board. He leaped onto it and flew at the dog. He grasped a chain laying in a trash bin and began swinging it like mad. He hit the dog with the chain. The dog shrunk back, his eye bleeding. The others knew all too well what would happen if the hawk got to them. They disappeared down the alleyway, tripping over themselves like babes in the woods. The dog, too, turned and ran. Jet stopped swinging the chain and pulled his hover board to a stop. He replaced the board in its holder and went over to Amy. He offered a hand to her and helped her up. To his surprise, Amy hugged him and began to cry on his shoulder.
"Oh, God, thank you!" she sobbed. "I don't know what that man would have done to me if you hadn't come along."
Jet found himself returning her embrace and stroking her hair. "Shh... Everything's all right now...."
Amy continued sobbing, despite his soothing manner. Jet closed his eyes and stopped speaking. It felt surprisingly good to hold her.
"Jet.." he heard her murmur.
"Hmm?" He opened his eyes. She was pushing away slightly.
"Thank you," she said, kissing him softly.
Jet melted right then and there.
Hurrah for Jetamy!
Don't think I'm a freak, cuz I'm not...
If you want Sonamy, say so in a review! Same for ShadRiku.. As if I'd want to make either of those... However, the public gets what they want, am I right?
Next chapter soon, along with the other bad guys and the identity of the white wolf.
Yeah, Shadow and Sonic heal fast.
