Yet More Rambling

So I've just emerged from a pile of paperwork to type a completely useless entry about nothing much.

I have so much to do at the moment. It's getting ridiculous. There are about twenty books on my "to-read" list, four of which require immediate memorising if I ever actually want to pass Lit, and another four of which are borrowed from other people, meaning I have to read them quickly or they'll get pissy.

I'm not even going to go *in* to coursework. Let's just say there's a lot of it.

Today, I've just been arranging some work experience in a school near me, which, of course, requires a criminal records check. Please. As if they tell you anything! Besides, how many banks do you expect me to have robbed by the age of seventeen, anyway?

(The answer is thirty-five. Criminal mastermind, me.)

My mother has this terrible habit of putting things away where they absolutely don't belong - which is why our fridge is full of moisturiser and candles, and why I had to climb in under the sink to find my medical card. My birth certificate was hiding in amongst the used cheque books in the sheets drawer under her bed.

I really want to write, too, but I just can't find the time. This is a massive pain in the arse because not only do I have about eight-thousand stories in various stages of unfinishedness, I wanted to write a new fic for every episode of the new DW series (Doctor/Rose stuff, obviously, because I am a disgustingly biased shipper). Dunno if I'll get around to it now.

Beta work is good, though, and I'm just starting to get the hang of this place :D I'm waiting on chapters from a couple of people, and I've printed out the others to edit in H&S class (who says it's not a productive lesson?!).

At least college was fun today. I was accosted by about eight people I haven't seen for a couple of weeks, due to illness and progress reviews and silly timetables, all laden with hugs and indignation over the latest DW trailer ("What is it, a dating agency ad?!"). And books, of course.

Ran off to Jackie's house to give her a birthday pressie, too. I love giving out pressies :D It was her birthday on Saturday but she didn't do anything, so...yeah. Could've done with a party, but then again my homework is probably better off without it.

This is descending into drivel. It's all just coursework avoidance, really.

She says, wondering why she never seems to get anything done...

rambling, birthdays, books, work experience, college
