Oh, [sniffle] At some times during series 3, your stories seemed to be one of the few bright spots, something to look forward to. And this last one in the series so didn't disappoint. I loved the start, with Martha calling the Doctor and telling him, oh so indirectly but in such a Martha-type way, that he had gotten Rose back. And I loved the whole part with Rose and the Doctor--I can so see the two of them clinging to each other, just not wanting to let go.

[happy sigh] From your keyboard to RTD's mind, I hope I hope I hope . . .

From your keyboard to RTD's mind - I'm telling you, if he's got a reunion planned, there had better be as much kissing as we all make happen in fic. *grins*

Thank you so much, really =)

That was lovely. I love how you began this with Martha being so perfectly Martha and ended with Jackie holding her son as she prepares to let her daughter go. Really the perfect beginning and end to this story. The reunion between Rose and the Doctor was given even more power by being grounded by the intro and concluding scenes. Beautifully written. :)

Ooh, thank you!! And especially so for what you said about Martha - I'm always worried that the slightest negative treatment of her (as with the Doctor hanging up. *grins*) will cause people to poke me with sticks for "bashing", so...yes =D Thank you! It's good to know I did her justice.

See, I saw his hanging up as a bit of Pouty!Emo!Doctor, rather than anything against Martha. Personally, I think Martha deserves a great deal of credit for making the call and kicking him in his pinstriped butt. *g* Oh, and I liked the hint you made about her and Tom, 'cause there is so much potential there, imho. :)

Happy tears, happy!

I feel awfully guilty; I think all I've done for fourteen weeks is make you cry!

Oh, I loved this! From Martha calling him (and she's with Tom!!) to let him know that she's seen a future him with Rose, to him finding her (and wanting to tell her about his genius in so doing) to Jackie observing them together and telling her son that the Doctor's come to take Rose home - perfect :)

This, I loved most of all:
Somewhere in her mind, she’s dimly aware of the Doctor taking her hand; locking his fingers with hers just as he used to. And it is this - this simple, wonderful gesture, not the declarations or the clutching or even his return, but this - that shatters her into a million tiny pieces even as his kisses gently sew her heart back together.

Beautiful :)
