That was lovely. I love how you began this with Martha being so perfectly Martha and ended with Jackie holding her son as she prepares to let her daughter go. Really the perfect beginning and end to this story. The reunion between Rose and the Doctor was given even more power by being grounded by the intro and concluding scenes. Beautifully written. :)

Ooh, thank you!! And especially so for what you said about Martha - I'm always worried that the slightest negative treatment of her (as with the Doctor hanging up. *grins*) will cause people to poke me with sticks for "bashing", so...yes =D Thank you! It's good to know I did her justice.

See, I saw his hanging up as a bit of Pouty!Emo!Doctor, rather than anything against Martha. Personally, I think Martha deserves a great deal of credit for making the call and kicking him in his pinstriped butt. *g* Oh, and I liked the hint you made about her and Tom, 'cause there is so much potential there, imho. :)

Just wanted to say that I've really enjoyed this series of stories and that I sincerely hope you continue writing. Now that we can be fairly certain season 4 is gonna be even worse than season 3 9More Catherine Tate?!? *groans*) we'll need good fanfic more than ever!

Aww, I'm sorry you're not happy about Donna's return. Even though I'm pretty sure I'd tune out if she were shouty all the time, as at the beginning of TRB, I'm hoping she'll bring some much-needed happy to the show. =)
