Geneva Week 6

Mar 08, 2007 07:43

So I am in the midst of my 6th week living with Cedric here in Geneva. We have been through a whirlwind of situations and emotions....

Rejoined the intensive French course again this week, Intermediate level- 20 hours of instruction completely 100% in French every week with no silent desk work, like, at alllllll during the class. Literally INTENSE. So yeah, I am speaking French now, not fluent, but enough to be able to describe what I want. But I still need a lot of work with the goddamn tenses, gender, pronouns, and prepositions.

Started level 2 of my Cuban Salsa dance class this week.

Hiking a couple times a week.

But things are getting expensive. So we will see.

My 5 year high school reunion should be this year. Damn.

It drizzles all the time here. Chocolate is tooooo goddamned good. Fondue is NOT my thing (at least not when Cedric's father makes it). Raclette is much better. So many bakeries. People eat croissants and drink espresso all day. (No not really....) I walk almost everywhere I go because the city is so small.

The busses run on electricty, like the trollies in New Orleans, and are frequent and always on time. There is a big lake with swans swimming around next to the boats.

Love you all,
Alix
