hi all - i hope you've had a great christmas and new year! i've gt a few recs to make:
objection_icons boasts some truly lovely icons, and this post is a really good example of the great icons you can always find there. the post features icons of sense & sensibility and keira knightley. they are richly coloured without being oversaturated, they feature canny use of text and textures, but really work with the subject of the caps. they really are extremely good.
autumnjoy has posted some AWESOME icons of this years dr who christmas special at windsong_icons. there's a great mix of coloured and b&w icons, and they feature some of the best scened in the show. the colouring is really pretty. go and see them here.
netherfield_x has made a post of icons featuring promo shots from the new sense & sensibility production (i hear it's expected to air sometime this year. they've got a 'scrapbooky' kind of look, and thy're on a kind of colour theme with blues and greens. very cute. and if you really like them you can get a header/wallpaper at the same post to match the icons - how's that for value?! see them here.
i'm a big fan of the gilmore girls, so this post by pinklabel made me squee a lil bit. the post also features icon of friday night lights and supernatural. the icons are almost all minimal in style, and feature some good cropping and nice bright colouring. go see!
i think the holidays have put people in a sense and sensibility kind of mood because here is another great s&s post! this time the icons are made by everfixed. they feature some gorgeous greeny/bluey lighting, some understated use of light textures, and a handful of lovely b&w icons in the mix.
finally, sunlitdays has uploaded a gorgeous set of stock icons of new york city. they are minimal, they are beautiful. i really don't know what else to say except go see 'em here.
