oven exhaust smells like mouse urine
I live with two cats who are both pretty good hunters, but I know some Bad Mother Fucker mouse has been evading their capture for about a month now. I've seen it once and heard it a few times as well. I haven't noticed its droppings at all and it hasn't been in our human food, so I assumed it was subsisting on cat food (DEFEND YOUR TERRITORIES GUYS) and then sleeping in the walls. I've basically been waiting for the food chain to take its course, which has worked out perfectly well in the past--but I guess I made a mistake. Guess the little guy has been hanging out in the stove a lot. And he's still too smart for my valiant hunters.
So I've just turned the oven on for the first time in awhile and WOW THE FILTER SMELLS LIKE URINE HARDCORE. LIKE IT'S REALLY BAD.
If I explain the situation to my landlady I'm sure she would replace the unit. But now my whole kitchen smells like urine. And I'd like to avoid the ordeal of replacing it if possible as it is a relatively new gas range.
Any ideas or should I just buy some candles and call her?
