Cake in a cup recipes?

Dec 21, 2010 11:19

I want to put these together for some gifts for unexpected guests, but given my friend's failure with the recipe he had (very bland they said) I'd love it if someone could give me a tried and true recipe which tastes good for sure, along with cooking instructions I need to provide. Thanks bunches guys :D

My boyfriend LOVES these, so I invevnted one that actually tastes good.

4T flour
4T sugar
4T baking powder
Pinch salt
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t instant coffee or powdered cappuccino mix
4T oil
4T water
splash of vanilla
3T chocolate chips

Make sure to blend everything really well, then nuke for 2 minutes.
Eat while warm.

OH don't bother with the ones with egg, they come out rubbery.

I made one with egg just last night, and it wasn't the least bit rubbery.

Since my plan is to put this in cups dry with "just add water" instructions or whatever I won't be using egg ;) Thank you for the recipe!

you mention baking powder twice. is it baking soda and powder or is it a total of one tablespoon and a 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder?
