Chapter10
Manna felt her heart flatter.
"No, no… I'm ok; I'll go alone "she began nervously
"I won't let you go alone; you know that "Ville said seriously
"I don't want to bother you" she began "you might be tired, want to go to the bar to relax with guys, I'm really ok"
"You won't bother me" Ville said smiling sheepishly. Manna gulped, then sighed and nodded. Ville smiled victoriously and took their coats guiding her outside.
They walked silently crushing their snow with their feet. Manna was looking down at the snow, as if it was the most interesting thing she had ever seen. Ville was chain-smoking. Time after time he would look at her, sigh and look away again. They turned round the corner and stopped. The street was crowded; the policemen were running around with paramedics. The car had slipped on the ice and hit another car. The way to Manna's house was cut.
"Just great! " Manna mumbled angrily." Now we'll fucking have to walk through that fucking park" Ville just smiled and followed her.
The park was empty. The benches were covered with snow and the path was lightened with dim light. Ville cleared his throat
"Manna" he began
"Hmm"
"I…"he stopped
"You what?" she asked raising eyebrow
"I…" Ville gulped. "Be careful, don't slip"
"Yeah, whatever" She mumbled. Ville sighed and looked up. Manna jumped over a little rock and slipped. Ville quickly took her hand pulled her up.
"I told you to be careful" Ville said. Manna just glared at him and went on walking quicker.
"Hurry up, I'm freezing, and it's only twenty minutes left" she said angrily. Ville obeyed.
They stopped in front of her house.
"Thanks" she said quickly opening her door and getting in.
"You're…"she slammed the door." …welcome" he finished sighing.
"Do you think he'll tell her?" Lily asked
"Naaaah" Linde answered hugging Sanne, who was sitting in his lap. She smiled and kissed his nose.
"Why?"
"Because he's not sure" Mige said. "That's so fucking annoying" he said angrily "I have to leave for an army tomorrow"
"You'll look sooooo stupid with you hangover dude" Juippi said. Everyone laughed. The door opened and Ville walked in with pissed off face. Everyone went silent. He frowned and sat down next to Mige.
"Well?" Juippi asked. Ville looked up glaring. He took a beer bottle and downed it.
"Get me vodka" he said to Mige. He went and came back with two bottles…
After two hours...
"*hic* I really *hic* love her" Ville said sobbing in Linde's shirt." She hates me *hic* Linde, she hates me…*hic*"
"Come on dude, cheer up" Linde said "It's Christmas, we did our first gig and it was a success." Ville frowned. "And we have to be sober to see Mige off tomorrow" Ville shook his head. He tried to walk but failed.
"Listen, we'll take you home now, you'll sleep and tomorrow we'll see Mige off"
"No… I wanna *hic* go to *hic* Manna" Ville said slamming his head on the table.
"Right…"Lily said giggling. Ville finally managed to stand up. He went towards the door tripping time after time and went outside. Linde got up and ran after him…

Manna woke up and sat up in the bed. She stretched and reached for her clothes. She got up and went towards the kitchen pouring tea for her. After breakfast she grabbed her bag and coat and went outside. She froze. Somebody was lying on her doorstep…
