Gahhh, all my plot bunnies have hopped away and I'm trying to get them back. (I have fics to write and update, you silly things!) So I'm currently watching a couple of other anime at the moment (also reacquainting myself with OHSHC again) to try and inspire my bunnies and it is. Not. WORKING. *slams head on the table*
Anyways. That's right. New Year's fics. I did say I'd mention a few things on my New Year's post about what I'm hoping to get to:
Chronicles of an Island Castaway (YGO): Title is subject to change, set in canon verse and multichapter. I noticed there's a distinct lack of fics covering a particular topic which I shan't disclose but really guys I think we all know who this fic involves. I'm not sure how long it will be...chapter count ranges from 10-20 so far, though, so it won't be a monster like "Come Together".
[insert title here] (YGO): I still haven't managed to think of a title (and actually could use some help) and it's an AU multichapter, but basically it's the untold stories surrounding TPATD. It won't focus so much on Mai and Jou as much as it will focus on other characters; included in the blueprints of this fic is how Yami/Bakura met Yugi/Ryou, where Rishid and Ishizu were in the time before they finally reunite with Marik, how Raphael and friends ended up traveling together, etc. How long it will be has yet to be seen, but this will come once a) TPATD is finished, and b) once my bunnies have gotten a substantial amount of chapters written in advance.
[insert title here] (YGO): My mandatory sequel to "The Return" I keep promising I'll write but never manage to get to and still haven't managed to come up with a title for. Ah well - an authoress can hope, hahasob.
Misc. Yu Yu Hakusho oneshots: I can't help it, guys. I've liked this fandom since I was a wee munchkin, but I find myself especially fond of Chu, Jin, Touya, and Rinku. Whether I write anything on them has yet to be seen, but seriously. I love these guys and I have a few tentative bunnies in mind.
A Traitor's Reflection (Harry Potter): Title is subject to change, oneshot set in canon verse and honestly...yeah, I don't even know if I'll do it or not. It entails a healthy dosage of angst and Peter Pettigrew and I like...well, neither.
Of Doxies and Bellowing Portraits (Harry Potter): Summary already thought out, and it's Harry Potter and surprise charrie friendship fluff oneshot. It'll take place after the series, but...well, I honestly don't know if I'll do this one either because the Harry Potter fandom is scary - at least, in terms of Fanfiction. I still haven't recovered from that one time I stumbled across the Ginny/Argus fic THAT WAS NOT FRIGGING LABELED AS GINNY/ARGUS ANYWHERE IN THE SUMMARY AND INCORRECTLY RATED. It's long gone now, but still. It's enough for me to give HP fanfics a wide berth.
Pirates and Pillow Forts (YGO): Post-series oneshot set in the "Come Together" universe. Mostly it's Valon and Marik friendship and it was requested by TDH ages ago. Whether it's here only on LJ or finds its way into "Come Together" has yet to be seen.
