“You know Robin, we should sing a duet.” Barney appeared at her side the moment she started humming. She hadn’t sang in a very long time, for obvious reasons, and only did so when alone. Or at least she thought she was alone.
“Not going to happen.” She glued her eyes to her book, and tried to will him away. Embarrassment was getting the better of her.
“Come on, please?” He shuffled around to the front of the chair, blue eyes pleading. He had an image in his mind of them crooning “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”.
She only smiled.
