Lily sat at her desk munching her sandwich, waiting for Marshall’s lunchtime call. She wondered why he hadn’t called yet.
Her phone beeped weekly with the text - Baby- stuck in meeting. Check mail. I love you :)
The mail read:
Dearest Lilypad,
I haven’t been able to concentrate, knowing the meeting with the Japanese will take forever. It’s only 10:30 now, but this song popped up on my iPod, and it made me miss you already.
I love you (more than you know),
Marshmallow
“Miz Aldrin, you crying?”
“No Danny, I just…it’s just…something in my eye...I’ll be right back…”
