Lá Fhéile Pádraig

If around 400,000 more people sign this in the next two days I will finally be able to celebrate appropriately:  www.proposition317.com

Alas, I have to work this Monday to make up for the company taking Easter Sunday off, and we have a matinee tomorrow so that I am unable to attend the parade. Well I shall make up for it anyhow. Apparently they take Saint Paddy's day very seriously here in Cincinnati (well, they take any holiday involving an occasion to drink very seriously anyhow) and there are several events I will be able to make it to none-the-less. There is a keggs and eggs event on Fountain Square both tomorrow and Monday lasting from 7AM till 10:30PM. And I'm going to stop by the library downtown Monday morning before work to see the local Irish dancing school perform. And practically every Irish pub is opening by 7AM at the latest Monday morning and offering an interesting breakfast menu of Guinness pancakes, blood pudding, irish soda bread and all that.

In other news, I'm looking at moving to St. Augustine, Florida in the fall. I've put some thought into what I really want to be doing next year and where I want to be. There are hundreds of other places both here in the country and oversees that I'd like to visit, but I want to be somewhere that'll feel like home to me and several years ago when I visited the country's oldest city, I just knew I'd have to live there someday. I'm ready to settle down somewhere for awhile and stop feeling like I'm living out of my suitcase. That surprises me a little, but then I realize, this whole year has been about getting to know myself better and now that we're aquainted, hopefully I can start meeting other people.

And finally, Lear is going wonderfully. For once, for once this whole season we are having an amazing rehearsal process. And 5.3 is quickly becoming my favorite scene in all of Shakespeare second only to 5.1 of Hamlet.

No, no, no life!
Why should a dog, a horse, a rat have life
And thou no breath at all? O thou'lt come no more,
Never, never, never, never, never.
