Okay, so I sold many prescriptions today. But there was this one, in particular. Well, four to be precise, although two of them amounted to 5 bucks. The other two, well, they pushed the total up to $2,323.96. Yes, kids, drugs are expensive. At least, the ones needed to beat brain cancer are expensive. I could hardly bear to take the woman's money from her. But she was hilarious. I suppose, when one's husband has a brain tumor, one hardly cares how much money it takes to beat it. I asked if she was aware how much it cost. She looked at me and said, "Hmm, something like five or six dollars?" I was terrified. How could I break this to her? But she started laughing and said, "I know."
It's strange that the folks picking up the most expensive prescriptions are those who are the best-natured. What's more, is that it's refreshing that when faced with such hardships, so many folks show their true colors and are revealed to be stunningly amazing.
