The kids have off from daycare today (teacher in-service), so I had to take a vacation day.  We drove Ben into work, and since we found a metered space, we took the kids in to show off to his coworkers.  The kids were very cute at them, and it was an enjoyable 20 minutes all around.  The kids and I left Ben at work, then went home for breakfast.  I ( Read more... )

Kids are currently sleeping and happy.  Carl had a good birthday party, and they both enjoyed playing with Carl's new toys.  We had a good time with friends and family today.  Carl enjoyed his cupcake very, very thoroughly.  I will post a pic when I download it.  After partying and fireworks, we came home, put the kids to bed and enjoyed one of my ( Read more... )

Ben and I are mainly using our "economic incentive" money to do car fixes/tune-ups and as savings.  But we did decide we needed a new bed.  We bought a Sealy and Sam's, plus one of those rack things that go on the bottom.  We also bought a box-spring, but it didn't fit up the stairs, so we returned it and bought some plywood instead.  Ben put ( Read more... )
