I heart The Marwa
The Marwa is awesome. This wise, gorgeous, and all sorts of other fantastic adjectives, girl told me that I'm one of the bravest people she knows. If any of you know this gal, thats quite the compliment. At the time she said this, I was still in too dazed a state to really comprehend the signifigance. What caused such praise? I asked out this really awesome volleyball player, using a quote from one of the greatest movies ever- Better Off Dead. If you haven't seen it, we need to talk. So cool dude and I had nice lil conversation, and wow, he likes rocks. HE LIKES ROCKS PEOPLE! So yeah, things going great, but not really talking about the whole asking out bit. I guess he thought I was kidding or something. So the soon to be much quoted response - At the moment no, because I just started seeing someone, but I don't want that to ruin our friendship. Can't really figure out the proper emotional reaction to that. I confronted my fears, had good conversation about rocks and Better Off Dead, and the potential to be friends with a really amazing person. But not quite what I hoped for. I know i'm being girly, but he seemed almost Mary Poppins-ish. Please don't make me spell that out.
I guess when you don't know what to do, you just gotta say fuck sc and move on to something that does have a solution ... like homework. Check y'all fabulous people later.
