hereSummary: Because food is the way to a man’s heart.
Yoko sat on the floor of the changing room staring at the door blankly, his beloved DS lying abandoned beside him, he was playing nervously with his fingers in the same way a child would when feeling anxious, he was waiting for him to arrive but at the same time some part of him didn’t wanted him to walk through the door. He didn’t wanted to see that innocent expression that always adorned his face, those slightly plump rosy lips, that pair of brown eyes that always looked tired but that sparkled whenever the man laughed, that brown messy hair that gave him a cute image…
“Yoko, good morning!” A deep drowsy voice mumbled from behind him, waking him from his daydream. Slightly afraid and embarrassed Yoko turned around to see the man he was thinking of behind him, his eyes went wide for a second before he squealed in surprise jumping from his spot on the floor. Ohkura chuckled before dropping heavily on the couch and snuggling to Yoko’s jacket that the man had left there when he arrived.
“How can you be so calm after scaring me like that?” Yoko whispered quietly crossing his arms and pouting, Ohkura turned slightly to look at him from over his shoulder before smiling tiredly and sticking his tongue out. The older man blushed slightly and turned away muttering something that sounded like ‘Stupid Tacchon.’ And just when he thought things couldn’t get worse Subaru, Ryo and Yasu entered the room.
As soon as Subaru and Ryo saw Yoko blushing they smirked evilly and went to sit by his side, Ryo on his left side and Subaru on his right, leaving him no way to escape. Yasu, not noticing what was going on, waved at Yoko and then turned to wake up Ohkura, failing to notice Yoko’s pleading eyes, seeing as how there was absolutely no way to escape his doom he sighed and turned to the two men that were about to torture him.
“Hey Kimi-kun!” Subaru chirped energetically, a little too energetically for Yoko’s taste. “So, what were you doing?” He asked casually, the evil smirk still playing on his lips. Ryo was trying to stiffen a laugh that threatened to escape but it proved to be futile since a few seconds later he gave up and laughed loudly. Yoko turned to glare at him but said nothing, knowing that with these two anything he said could and would be used against him.
“And here I thought the high school girl was supposed to be Ohkura.” Ryo said in between laughs, Subaru chuckled and turned to look at Ohkura who was rubbing his eyes sleepily and was making a huge effort to keep listening to Yasu’s shopping adventure instead of going back to sleep. “So…did you already told him?” Ryo asked again, but now his voice was serious and the laughter had died down not leaving any trace of humor behind in Ryo’s face.
Yoko gulped and turned to Subaru half hoping to see him grinning, but he wasn’t he just nodded to Ryo’s question, expecting his answer. Nervously Yoko ran a hand through his hair and sighed before shaking his head tiredly, the mere thought of confessing to the drummer gave him a weird feeling in the stomach, made his head spin and his hand get all sweaty, he had spent many nights in that state, thinking on the best way to tell Ohkura and it always ended in the same way, with him not getting enough sleep and despite staying up all night he still haven’t thought of how to tell him.
“You should just go and tell him.” Subaru said turning again to look at Ohkura and Yasu. “He won’t know if you don’t tell him first.” He said grinning widely and turning to Yoko, who shook his head furiously. Ryo stared at Ohkura and squinted his eyes as if trying to see through the man, before Yoko could ask what he was doing; he snapped his fingers and smiled.
“The way to a man’s heart is through the stomach!” He said smiling widely, Subaru laughed and Yoko raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side. “A while ago I heard my mother and her friends sharing recipes and one of them said that ‘they best way to get to a man’s heart was through the stomach.’” He explained shrugging; Yoko turned to Ohkura and stared at him deep in thought.
“Why is everyone here so early? Did you guys had a meeting without me?!” Everyone turned to look at Maru and Hina, who was pointing an accusing finger to them, he never liked being the last one in anything, and arriving to work wasn’t an exception, so he turned to the person that was closer, who happened to be Subaru, and whacked him in the head. Maru sighed in relief thinking he was going to be Hina’s target, turning around he grinned and went to hug Yasu and Ohkura.
“You monster! We just happened to decide to come earlier.” He said on the verge of crying while rubbing the back of his head. “I’m too old to be receiving this kind of treatment.” He said pouting and going toward Maru, pushing him away and hugging Yasu tightly. The short man laughed and patted the man’s back while smiling apologetically at Maru who shrugged happily and turned to glomp an unsuspecting Yoko, who was busy thinking what he should cook for Ohkura.

“So…will you help me?” Yoko whispered, his back facing the only man that could help him in this kind of situation.
“If I help you, what do I get?” The man asked looking around for any possible eavesdropper. A small package was pushed into his hands, looking down he opened it carefully and smiled when he saw what was inside, quickly he closed it and hid it inside a bag he was carrying with him. “Fine, I’ll help you.” He said pushing a small piece of paper into Yoko’s hand.
“It better be good.” The older man mumbles before opening the piece of paper and reading what was scribbled in it, when he was done he grinned widely and nodded excitedly. “Then go to my apartment today, I’ll have everything ready.” He said before walking toward the door and exiting the room.
When Yoko was out of the room, the man took out the package again and opened it to stare in awe at the small device inside. A beautiful black DS was resting peacefully inside a white box, his eyes sparkled and he nodded. Yeah, he had made a good deal.
Nishikido Ryo had accepted to teach Yoko how to cook.

“It isn’t like that!” Ryo cried pushing Yoko’s hands away from the dark mass that was supposed to be a cake. “You are supposed to stir the mix quickly so it gets fluffy!” Yoko giggled and nodded.
“This is supposed to be easy!” The older man cried as he tried to copy Ryo’s movements, they had been in the kitchen for about two hours now and the only edible thing that was done was a small pot of white rice. “What if I just order a pizza or something?” He asked turning to the younger man who rolled his eyes and whacked him in the head with the cooking book he was reading. “Oi! Hina’s a bad influence for you!”
“Shut up and now empty the mix into this container so we can put it in the oven.” Ryo sighed exasperated, handing Yoko a metal container. Yoko looked from one container to the other and scratched his head.
“What would happen if I put this in the oven?” He asked pointing to the plastic bowl he was holding, Ryo turned to glare at him and Yoko hurried to empty the cake mix to the metal mold. While they waited for the cake to be ready Ryo helped Yoko to prepare the curry rice, from time to time Yoko would drop something or would get too close to the fire, and it was times like that when Ryo would have to count to ten and breathe deeply to not lose his patience.
The hours passed like a wind gust and before they noticed Ohkura was knocking on the door, Yoko panicked and threw everything to the sink, the table was ready and his house clean, he was clean and presentable, everything was okay, he sighed happily before turning to see Ryo looking at him from the kitchen door. If he went out through the front door Ohkura would see him and everything would be ruined, Yoko rushed toward the smaller man and grabbed the front of his shirt, leading him to his room.
“Get out.” He simply said pointing to the window; Ryo looked at him as if he had grown an extra head and shook his head, the knocking on the door got louder and Yoko panicked, so he pushed him toward the window and then being the gentle guy he was he pushed Ryo out of his room. The only good thing was that his house was built in one level; the bad thing was that Ryo landed on the bushes below the window.
“Was took you so long?” Ohkura smiled when Yoko finally opened the door, the older man shrugged and stepped aside to let him enter the house. Ohkura looked around and grinned. “Thanks for inviting me to dinner.” He said taking off his shoes, Yoko nodded and blushed slightly. “So…what are we going to eat? Do you want me to order a pizza or something?” Yoko shook his head and tugged lightly on the sleeve of Ohkura’s shirt, leading him to the table. When Ohkura saw the curry rice he grinned widely and jumped in excitement.
Yoko smiled, relaxing a little. “Shall we?” He said shyly, Ohkura nodded and sat down staring at the food as if it was the biggest treasure in the world.
“Itadakimasu!” The younger man sang before taking the first spoonful of the food, as soon as he tasted it his eyes watered and his body slumped in the chair. Yoko stared nervously at the food, does the food tasted that bad? Maybe asking Ryo’s help wasn’t such a great idea.
“How is it?” He asked still looking at the man in front of him, Ohkura nodded several times before speaking. “It’s delicious!” He said in a tiny voice, Yoko laughed relieved and grinned, he loved Ohkura’s reactions, and now knowing that something he did caused that, made him feel like he was the luckiest man in the world, of course he wasn’t about to say that so he just nodded.
After eating the rice, Yoko got up and entered the kitchen, just to come back with a mouth watering chocolate cake. Ohkura’s eyes widened again and he could feel his heart racing at the sight of such a delicious dessert. Taking out a piece of cake he offered it to Ohkura, who took it gladly and shoved almost the whole piece in his mouth, he chewed it slowly as if it was the last piece of cake in the earth and he wanted to taste it to the very end; when he was done with it he stood up from his place and walked toward Yoko, who just stared at him, following his every movement.
“Yoko-kun, would you marry me?” He asked taking the man’s hand and kneeling down, looking at him with those deep brown eyes, Yoko chocked and coughed madly before turning to look at the man kneeling in front of him.
“What the hell?!” He yelled standing from his place and staring at Ohkura as if he was crazy.
“I need you to make me more cakes like that!” Ohkura pouted, Yoko looked away trying to hide the blush that was invading his face rapidly.
“No if you just want the cake.” Yoko whispered, Ohkura inched closer to the man trying to hear what he was mumbling.
“What?” Yoko turned around angrily only to find Ohkura’s face an inch away from his. He freaked out and fell to the floor.
“I said ‘no if you just want the cake.’” He repeated, Ohkura looked down to the man in confusion. Yoko sighed and looked down. “You don’t get it do you?” He asked while standing up slowly, Ohkura, oblivious as to what he was talking about, shook his head. “I like you…in a way I don’t want to like you.” The man explained, Ohkura just scratched his head and tried to process what Yoko was saying but he just couldn’t understand what he was saying.
“Oh come on!” Yoko cried. “I like the way you look, the way you talk, I like the way you dance, the innocent look on your face when you fall asleep after a dance rehearsal, how you can get away with almost anything just by pulling that ‘kicked puppy’ look, the way your laugh makes me feel like I can do anything, I like you in a way I shouldn’t, I like you in a way I don’t want to like you, but I do and you know what I don’t regret it.” He said looking away, well that didn’t went how he planned…he just screw up his big chance.
“I like you too.” Ohkura simply said giving Yoko a quick peck on the cheek. Yoko turned to look at him with wide eyes. “You’re sweet Yoko-kun, thank you for trying so hard for me.” He said smiling, Yoko blushed and nodded softly. “Now…can I eat some more cake?” Yoko laughed and nodded, that was the main reason why he liked Ohkura, he never felt awkward around him, the air always felt light when he was with him. He just smiled and stared as the younger man stuffed his face with cake.
