"Hikari Netto, I am going to kick you in the head," Enzan said, giving Netto a half-hearted glare. "Didn't you just give me grief about not telling anyone it was my birthday?"

Netto put down the bullhorn, grinning unrepentantly. "Call it revenge, Enzan. You didn't tell me about your birthday, I didn't tell you about mine. Now we're even."

"Yeah, but I got no warning. At all," Enzan pointed out. "How am I supposed to get you something if I don't have any warning?"

"You can give me a late present. It's okay. I won't mind." The truth was that Netto hadn't wanted to give anyone fair warning. Yeah, it might mean fewer presents, but it was worth it to make everyone jump.

Dark Rock jumped at the noise, almost falling from his perch on a nearby chair. "Gah! Netto-kun!"

Netto waved the bullhorn at Dark Rock, snickering. "Now that's what I call a 'surprise party'! Only I'm not the one being surprised!"

Dark Rock glared slightly, "If I was a human, I'm sure I would've had a heart attack." He sighed, and disappeared for a minute. When he appeared, he was holding a small package wrapped in navy blue paper. He held it out to Netto and mumbled, "Happy birthday, Netto-kun."

Netto took the gift beaming. "Thank you, Dark Rock!" Then, before he opened the present, he gave Dark Rock an abrupt hug. "You didn't have to do that." And I won't ask where you got it or how, either, he added through the link. If Dark Rock had left the Vanishing Court to get him a present, Netto certainly wasn't going to tell anyone.

Netto-chan shows up shortly after. She has her backpack with her and is carrying something that looks exactly like Enzan's gift. A plate of cookies wrapped in red and blue cellophane.

"Did someone say birthday?!"

"Ooooh! Cookies!" See Netto. See Netto drool. "Yeah, it's my birthday today. Are those for me, Netto-chan?"

She holds them up. They are sugar cookies with frosting on them so that they look like Rock's navi symbol. "These are actually the cookies I promised you when you took the ones I made for Enzan for me. I actually have a present for you in my backpack."

"Really?!" Netto was all for getting two gifts at once, even if one of them was just a thank-you gift. He took the cookies and set them on a table so that he could unwrap them and get a cookie. "Thnkgyuu Nnddo-chn," he mumbled through a mouthful of cookie.

We're blowing up snowmen, if you'd like to celebrate that way.

"Maybe later. I'm gonna stick around here for now." Netto waved at Alexa. "Hi!"
