hopefulness and cold

I got a FB message today from my friend J telling me that the potential job at LTU that she promised to look into for me was still available. I emailed the prof in charge and am hoping really hard that it works out, because this could really be the best thing for me---I'd be working right on campus, so I wouldn't have to commute (thus saving SO MUCH GAS, seriously I am spending about 1.5 hours a day in the car right now), and being as my boss would be a professor I'd DEFINITELY be able to get flex-hours during finals (and speaking of hours, pretty sure I wouldn't be getting up at 3:15 for this one) xD So, let's hope it works out!

My friend M posted as his FB status, with regards to the weather we are currently suffering experiencing, "Michigan, if you had a face I would punch it." I concur. It needs to stop with the cold already. Seriously, my roommates and I have had our furnace off for a month now because we can't afford the bill any longer, and so our house is approximately the same temperature as the outside, which happens to be 42 degrees atm (it's been getting below freezing at night, which is a joy.) Someday, someday I shall be wealthy enough to keep the furnace ON for as long as the cold wind doth blow. But I'm moving back into dorms this fall, so it'll be warm there at least. And now to find a clever and tactful way of explaining to my parents that I have to move my bed, desk, and dresser with attached bookcase back into their basement.
