All right, we have a bunch of things to get caught up on. Numbers time!
1. I watched Britney's supposed "comeback" at the VMAs last night. Ouch. It was just so BORING, the song pretty much sucked, and PLEASE, Britney Spears, enough with the sparkle underwear. You have kids. And while you are certainly not fat or chubby by any means, it's really just not flattering anymore. There are ways of being sexy without adding glitter to your girly parts.
2. So, I've had my first week of classes and reactions are as follows: Philosophy will be easy. Two essay tests, no cumulative final, and only one paper! What? YES! History 371 is freaking me the hell out, I've only had it once but I have a feeling it will be difficult. Oh, well. I could always drop out, but where am I going to find another Monday/Wednesday class? I'm not, that's what. Poli Sci 205 will be easy, again. Easy in that sort of challenging way. You know what I mean. And Justice and Peace Studies should be interesting. The professor is really nice. And running for U.S. Senate. Good luck with Al Franken, there.
3. I'm really excited for choir this year. Dr. Broeker took over this year, and she's pretty much amazing, and the songs we are singing actually take some effort, we're going on tour to Chicago for a couple of days, and we're singing a super freaking awesome requiem at the end of the year, too. Score!
4. Friday night I went out to Axel's Bonfire with a bunch of girls from our floor. It was great, it's nice to have a group of girls live with us that are actually normal. And by normal, I mean "find the Sextastic 4 hilarious and awesome."
5. Bridget and I had to fill out a roommate contract, like the rest of the floor. I put one of my pet peeves as "Bridget existing." Hahaha. I'm witty. We had fun with that.
6. FACEBOOK ISN'T WORKING FOR ME. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO COMMUNICATE?
7. It was disgustingly hot last week, which really super sucks in the dorms because we don't have air conditioning. And trust me, that is AWFUL. In the whole "Wow, I just took a shower, but I am already smelly and sweaty and disgusting" sort of way. Iiick. But now it's dropped down to the low 70s and it is amazing. Myself, I'm holding out for fifties by the end of the month. A girl can dream, can't she?
8. Our DVD player stopped working. Noooo! I have to buy The Office and Supernatural DVDs tomorrow! Luckily, we can buy DVD players at Target. Who'da thunk it?
9. And last but not least, LAST Monday when CJ drove us to Target, we ended up driving past where the 35W Bridge collapsed, and took a slight detour on the 10th Avenue Bridge so we could check that out. Holy fucking shit. That thing is GONE. If you hadn't noticed already. It is not pleasant. Bridget and I are going to try and get CJ to go back again because we want to walk the 10th Ave. Bridge instead so we can actually see down into the river... there's still big slabs of concrete in there, from what Bridget has told us. Ugh. Shudder.
