I hate how, when I woke up this morning, all I could think about was how I couldn't wait to get back from class and collapse into bed and take a nap, but now that I'm actually back from class, I am completely refreshed by my caffeine and the fifteen minute walk in what's already FREEZING COLD AIR that by the time I settle back down and want some sleep, it'll be time to leave for Target. DAMMIT.

On the plus side, I've decided that Philosophy is my new favorite class because, really, the professor, who we all call Mo because she doesn't actually quite have her Ph. D yet, is pretty much the most hilarious prof of all time. We had a ten minute discussion about how she learned how to cure violent diarrhea when she lived in Nepal and the sleeping habits of her baby daughter and how she's pretty much a hippy and actually voted for Nader in the 2000 election. And we still actually learned stuff, too. AMAZING. Not that I really would've cared because, honestly, the senioritis from last year never really went away.

But ugh, I still hate the fact that the class is at eight in the morning and on the very, very, very far corner of South Campus (for the record, I live on the very, very, very far corner of North Campus) and that it's an hour and forty minutes long. AGGH who thought that up? I definitely wouldn't want to switch, though, because Mo only teaches one class and I WANT HER AS MY PROF, DAMMIT. She's just that awesome.

My guess is I'll probably start liking the class a lot less once we actually have to start writing papers, but that's kind of a given.

Why does my "Update Journal" button now read "Update Captain's Log?" That seriously amuses me.

ETA: "Aye aye! Sending entry to LiveJournal..." OH I GET IT. TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY. Yes, I knew that. Yarrrr.

sleep, philosophy
