Inoo's 30th Birthday: 30 Ficlets

Happy birthday, Inoo!
Since I can't make video edits and such, I thought I'll just write fics for his birthday.
I wrote this on my twitter for the 30 days countdown, but twitter has this character limit which sucks. So I decided to post the longer version here (although some of them are the same hahahaha forgive me).

Anyway, it's been a while since the last time I wrote fics in English (probably around five years? lmao I usually wrote fics in my native language) so I'm sorry if there are any mistakes! I used a correction app, though, but I'm not really sure since the app sometimes also made some mistakes.

Some of these fics contain multiple ships with Inoo in it. But there are also some that's written in second pov and without pair tag, you could imagine it as Inoo x reader kind of fic or Inoo x someone you want. I'll leave it to your imagination.

Sorry the note takes long lmao or maybe you skip it lmao. Well, I hope you guys enjoy!

D-30: First Meeting [Hikanoo]



First time Hikaru met Inoo was when it's school entrance ceremony.

That morning wasn't a good one for Hikaru at first. He didn't get any sleep the night before, too anxious thinking about his first day of high school. He didn't go to the same school as his friends since he had to go out of town. His dad got transferred and his mom insisted to be together.

So, not only he doesn't have any friend, this is also a new place for him.

They sat beside each other, Hikaru being the first one to sit there, not too far from the front row. The older joined him later, with his messy hair that Hikaru almost laughed at. He didn't, though, because he saw the boy gave him a polite smile. He returned it awkwardly, then they sat there in silence until the principal showed up.

Not too long after, he saw some of the students already doze off. Some of them have their eyes to their phone, scrolling through SNS. He wondered if the boy beside him will sleep too, or maybe himself. His eyes are getting heavier.

But then, after five minutes to the principal speech, he felt a weight on his shoulder and some hair tickled his cheek.



D-29: Pet Names [Inoari]



"Would you prefer prince charming or sweetie pie?" Inoo asked him.

"No, no way. Hearing you said that already embarrassed me." Daiki is tired of having this silly conversation. But he also knows that Inoo is persistent and won't stop until he got what he wants.

"Daddy? Many couples used that."

"Inoo-chan, no." It doesn't suit him, after all. And imagining Inoo calling him daddy with his i-am-seducing-you tone is not really good.

"Oh, I know what you like! Iron Man?"

"...."

Daiki still wonders why they're together.



D-28: Being sleepy



It's easy for him to doze off, lately. The others probably didn't notice yet, because he always answered their questions randomly. Like one time they asked him, "Do you prefer the red or the yellow one?"

And he answered it with, "Yes."



D-27: Holding Hands [Takanoo]



Takaki reached out for Inoo's hand. His thumb stroking the back of it, slowly intertwined their fingers and gave it a light squeeze.

Inoo's grip is so weak, it made Takaki's heart ache. He felt his eyes tearing up, but it's not the time for him to cry. He can't cry in front of him.

"I'm here," he said, failing to keep his voice steady. "Always."



D-26: Cuddling [Hikanoo]



Hikaru loves it when it rains. Because it would be cold and they would make hot chocolate, sometimes with marshmallows.

And also, because he can put his arms around Inoo and they would cuddle for a long time until one of them needs to go to the toilet.



D-25: Busy [Inoari]



It's no one's fault, really, that they're both busy with work. They also didn't get the same day off until a month later and all those date plans already forgotten. It made Inoo's mood become more unstable, especially when his works didn't involve Daiki. It also upsets him, but he tried to cover it up since everyone already has to put up with Inoo.

So, to cheer up his sulking boyfriend, Daiki bought the thing that could make a lot of bubbles. He knows Inoo loves those things.

He drags Inoo outside-really drags him since Inoo already fall back asleep even though it's just 8.30-where those bubbles already floating around.



D-24: Heal [Yabunoo]



"People said time could heal, but here I am, seven years later, the wound still fresh like it's just seconds ago. If even time can't heal me, what makes you think you can, Yabu?"

Yabu took a deep breath and stared at Inoo's eyes, "Because I can love you."



D-23: Jump [Inoyama]



Inoo sighed, didn't want to start his morning with a fight. He looked to the younger who already put his clothes on. "I don't know what to say to you."

"Then don't." Yamada gave him a cold reply, buttoning his shirt. "Don't talk to me again, actually."

"Well," Inoo tilted his head, "just gonna warn you Kaeru just jumped near your feet."

"Kaeru?"

"Oh, I didn't tell you yet? I must have forgot. It's my frog."

Yamada didn't speak to Inoo for two months.



D-22: Forget [Takanoo]



Clearing his throat, Takaki braced himself as he knocked on the door. Forget-me-not in his hand. A smile on his face. Although he could never prepare his heart.

There's a mumble of wait a minute and he took a deep breath. He already did this couple of time, but he's still nervous.

The door opened. Inoo looked at him and said, "Who are you?"

Inoo always forgot about everything after a day. It's fine, Takaki will always reminds him.



D-21: Crying



He's not really a crybaby or anything. His heart just got easily touched. It's a little embarrassing, though, when he almost or did cry at public places (especially on tv shows).



D-20: Stare [Yabunoo]



Sometimes Inoo stared at him for a long time. Yabu didn't really mind, since he thought Inoo's face is kinda cute every time he did that.

He also didn't mind the next thing Inoo would do, though, since he always shrugs it off with "it's a very Inoo thingy".



D-19: Photos [Inochinen]



Chinen loves to take Inoo's photo since the older is so unexpected. Sometime he would notice the camera and easily gave him a unique or silly pose. But other time, that Chinen usually saves in another album, is when Inoo didn't notice it.



D-18: Annoying [Inooyama]



If someone asks him, he would definitely say yes, he loves jump. All of them.

But if someone also ask him if he dislikes Inoo, then he too would definitely say yes, because that guy annoys him so much even though he doesn't really know why.



D-17: Height [Inoyuto]



Yuto was smaller than him at first. Well, Inoo was taller than most of them when they were still junior. As puberty hits, the role switched and now Inoo is the one who should look up when talking to the younger. Not that he minds the height gap, but still.



D-16: Forward [InoOka]



There are some days where it's hard for Keito to just smile. He can fake it a little, but not everyone buys that. And sometimes, it seems like Inoo notices that.

Because sometimes, Keito would find some kind gesture from the older and it was enough for him.



D-15: Light



The thing with light is that it could either make your whole world shine or it could make you stand out more, being its shadow.

But with him, you think he's definitely the first one. Because since you know him, you can see this world a little bit clearer.



D-14: Comfortable [Inochinen]



Probably, if Inoo doesn't have so many schedules and works, he would spend more time with him.

It's not just because he could do almost anything (even something that he didn't imagine doing before) with Inoo, but because it feels nice being with him.



D-13: Treasure [Takanoo]



Sleeping Takaki is not something Inoo likes. Takaki usually snores and it does bother him when he wants some peaceful moment. But sometimes, just sometimes, he had this urge to take one photo of him. Maybe not one but it's not like Inoo does it every day.



D-12: Date



You're the first one to spot him-his big hat really stands out from far. He had this look where you just want to take out your phone and take a picture, so you did. But he always knows when the camera is on him so he turned to you and you got an even better picture.



D-11: Far [Yabunoo]



It's hard when all his efforts always got rejected by the other. He knows he shouldn't hope for more-after all, he just happened to meet him first and he's also the one who falls first while the other doesn't.

It's hard. And he wants to end it tonight.



D-10: Food



He's not the type to text you first. And he also is not the type to answer your text because sometimes he missed it or he's so busy he can't see his messages.  But when he does text you first, he always sends these photos of him eating just to tease you.



D-9: Account [Takaki-Inoo-Hikaru]



One day, Inoo finally made his twitter account.





D-8: Boyfriend [Hikanoobu]



"So what's your boyfriend like?" Daiki asked since Hikaru never stops talking about him.

Hikaru gave him his phone, showing a photo. "You see the one with cute smile, brown hair, yellow shirt?"

"Uh, yeah, well he's-"

"Yeah, not him. It's the other one."



D-7: Point



The boy who lives in front of you always stares at you at certain hour. Sometimes in the morning or night. He never talks to you, though, or does he goes out from his house so you never got the chance to ask.

But one day he points to you. He never does that. So you look back-



D-6: Over [Inoari]



"So," Inoo pursed his lips, "you're over me?"

"Yes, yes," Daiki answered fast. "I'm done with this crush thing."

"But when were you ... under me?"

Daiki never slammed a door that hard.

D-5: Something left [Yabunoo]



"There's nothing you can do anymore, right?" Inoo asked. "I have nothing left."

"You do." Yabu walked calmly towards him. "You have something left and I own it."

"What?"

Yabu's finger lifted his chin so they could stare into each other. "Your heart."



D-4: Pick-up [InoOka]



"Do you know what's on the menu?" Keito asked. "It's me 'n' u."

Inoo raised his eyebrow, "So you're flirting, like, just now?"

"Uh, yes."

"That's not flirting. You should get out from here and try again from the beginning."

Learning how to flirt with Inoo is hard. But Keito really wants to be good at this and Inoo is the only one that accepts his wish.

D-3: Sunshine [Hikanoo]



Every alive being that he touches will die.

Inoo never understands why it's him the one who got the curse since his father is the one at fault. Inoo never understands why he loves animals, especially cats, when he can't touch them. He never understands why he's even here if he can't do what normal human does.

He wondered how long is it gonna be like this, him being alone. Not even an animal or flower or tree could be with him.

One day, he cried, hard. His cat died in his embrace. He's mad with the world for taking the cat's life when it was his fault for having this curse. He didn't realize that someone is approaching him until he felt a pair of warm hands touched his. He looked up and saw a bright smile from the other.

The boy's smile faded when he saw Inoo's tears. He embraced him instead, making Inoo fell silent. It's probably his first contact with another person. It actually felt nice, being embraced, he can feel the other's heartbeat.

He wondered how the boy didn't get pale and turn sick after the other hugged him, smiling, he said, "Don't cry, it's not dead yet, I can heal him a little bit."



D-2: Wink



He knows you're always watching him on tv. Especially when it's a live broadcast, because you always want to watch him even from far away.

So he said one time that he'll try to wink when the camera zooms in-and just so you know, he sends that wink for you.



D-1: Old



"Let's grow old together."

You forgot who said that. Probably him, since you aren't really the type to say that. But you never know-you could say it when you're drunk and realize you really love him.



D-day: Birthday


                     "Happy birthday."
