Rayann Landon was starving. A surprise rush around lunchtime had pushed her usual breaktime a bit late and she had completely missed out on a full breakfast, having overslept that morning. The large cup of coffee she'd practically inhaled in the break room had not been enough to carry her over until now.
Really, it was a wonder she'd managed to apparate over to Hogsmeade, as hungry as she was.
She probably should have just gone to The Leaky, but Raye still had a soft spot for Hogsmeade. Especially lately when she'd been feeling a bit nostalgic for younger days when she'd been a student at Hogwarts. Hogsmeade reminded her of those days more than anything.
Of course, it helped that she seemed to be more likely to run into old friends and acquaintances in Hogsmeade. Sometimes new ones, too, like that Mac. He was a charming one.
At any rate, that nostalgia found her sitting in her favourite corner booth as a place she'd visited more times than she could count, a warm butterbeer and a cold sandwich with a handful of crisps in front of her, just waiting to be consumed.
