Shihoko finished her small lunch and made her way from the great hall to the Ravenclaw common room. She dropped off her bag and grabbed her sweat shirt from where it hung on the edge of her bed. Ignoring the half finished homework assignment lying on the floor, Shihoko left the common room and made her way down towards the lake. She and Will had agreed to meet here to just 'hang out', as he had put it. Said 'hanging out' was a well deserved and very needed break for Shihoko, whose head was drowning in work. Who knew being a sixth year would be so difficult? Shihoko certainly didn't.
Will wasn't there when she arrived, but Shihoko wasn't too worried about that. She sat down on the soft grass, crossing one leg over the other in front of her. Slowly she flopped backwards to stare up at the sky. The wind blew gently, brushing black strands of hair about her face. She inhaled deeply. It was good to get out of the castle once in a while, especially when the weather wasn't too crummy. She hadn't seen much of her best friend lately and that on top of everything else was getting Shihoko down. She shut her dark almond eyes and her arms fell from their position folded across her chest onto the grass. Her hands rested on her stomach, rising and falling gently with every slow breath she drew.
Shihoko seemed to be asleep. She was hovering between sleep and wake, her thoughts were far from coherent as time passed neither slowly nor quickly as she waited for Will to arrive.
