"Did you just shove an owl off that ledge?" Camdyn asked Ophelia as she entered the Owlery.

She was feeling particular giddy today, even though she'd spent the morning in Study Hall and classes. Her hair was that shade of green she liked to wear, her eyes their natural colour, and the trademark Slytherin smirk was plastered on her face.

She grabbed the letter to her parents that was sticking out from her robes and scanned the owlery for any sign of a capable bird.

"Feeling up to sharing then?" Camdyn asked as she noticed the candy sticking out of Ophelia's mouth.

"Ah, no Cammie dear. That would be the sunlight, see. Does things to your eyes," Ophelia retorted, opening up her eyes wide to show her. Didn't do to have the younger years going about thinking you lobbed things of ledges. Well... anyway.

She went back to eyeing a tough looking brown one. Didn't think he'd go down with one shot. Ha! Retrieving her family seal from among the owl droppings, Ophelia wiped it off grandly and began to take aim.

Until Camdyn asked for a sweet, after which she most kindly presented her with several. She had enough licorice wands for the day anyhow. About to go back to hurling things at the blasted birds, Ophelia paused to think. She looked at the 2nd year, quite easily choosing a bird, and rethought her course of action.

"Oi, Cammie? Think you could get one down for me, hm?" she waved her hand vaguely at the owlery. "Only, they don't seem to have taken to me. Imagin."

That was one thing Camdyn really enjoyed about the other Slytherins. They told not just lies, but amusing lies. Sure, they did a few things she was opposed to (often secretly), but that didn't mean they weren't worthy of friendship. Camdyn rather liked Ophelia, especially when she was up to something rotten.

As Ophelia loaded her up with sweets, Camdyn beamed and nodded in thanks, quickly taking a bite of her own licorice wand. Not her favourite, but sugar nonetheless.

"You'd think they'd be interested in the food at least," Camdyn responded and noticed a nice looking barn owl in the corner. She whistled to it and clapped her hands excitedly as it flew to her.

She loved animals. Couldn't figure out why she'd not bought her own owl before coming back to school.

"Try and be nice to this one for a few minutes. It'll do what you need it to if you don't go shoving it off ledges."

Blasted birds. Probably had diseases. Ophelia made a slight face at them before turning back to the younger girl. Taking out another licorice wand, she began twirling it between her fingers.

"Well they'll have none of mine. They can eat their nasty rats and things," she retorted, biting down on the end of the candy. She wrinkled her nose at the owl Camdyn was holding for a few minutes, before deciding to approach it. It made a low agitated sound.

"Shoving if off ledges. Really Cammie, what you think up," Ophelia teased and gave the bird a brief pat on the head. She took out her letter and quickly tied it to the owl's leg. The thing suddenly began twitching spastically.

"Er, I think you've got a faulty one. Gone and broke on us." Nodding sagely, she took another bite off her licorice wand and stared at the animal.
